In the combined July / August column I predicted that it was going to be a very hot summer regardless of the weather, and that has certainly proved itself out. We get all wound up regarding Mercury retrograde times in which communications, plans, negotiations and schedules go haywire. Mercury stops and goes direct motion on September 5, right on Donald Trump’s ascendant. The ascendant is a most sensitive point in any horoscope. Mars, the planet of exploration, courage, valour and bravery on the positive side of the coin, and war, anger, and violence on the other side, accompanies Mercury, and these two planets do not mix well at all. There’s bound to be trouble and controversy.

Remember the great American eclipse on August 21? It occurred at 28 degrees of Leo, (Trump’s ascendant) which is where Mercury and Mars meet up. That point is a cosmic hotspot, soaked with the fuel of frustration, irritation, and anger, and it won’t take much to set the whole thing ablaze. Let’s hope that it’s a blaze of awareness, consciousness and love. Just to add to the mix, Mercury forms a triangle with its higher octave planet Uranus which will pan out in the form of epiphanies, brilliant strategies, and powerful movements with masses of people involved. Later on in the month we have a Jupiter / Uranus opposition that will be in play until mid-October. Anything goes with this wild card combination of planetary influences. How about a revolution? Certainly a revolution in consciousness is way overdue. There are so many bright and brilliant people out there that know that things must change and change now.

We’re all on the same planet, with the same blood in our veins and all of us born the same way, and all of us estranged from the higher aspects of love and enlightenment. We need love and lots of it. One day this planet will be run by highly enlightened souls that are fully conscious and endowed with the power of love and wisdom. Let’s start this party now. Let’s move the neanderthals out of the way, and all their greedy warmongering friends with them. We have the the power of God’s love with us, and as my great Guru Param Sant kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj has said, “The golden age will not fall out of the sky, but will come from men’s hearts.” It’s a wakeup call folks, and not from the nightmare of war and violence, but of love, light and caring for one another. I’m down with it, are you? Can you love me? I love you.

Pay close attention to your dreams on September 9. Actually, all kinds of powerful information could be flowing through your consciousness from September 7 to 9. If you’re feeling restless consider it a good thing. Sometimes we need to be shaken up a bit in order to shake off the old and get on with the new.

Your solar fifth house of entertainment, and romance is strongly activated in September. The fifth house also rules over business adventures, gambling and creative endeavours. Embrace it all, and enjoy all that life has to offer. Before you do too much embracing though, know that things are not as they appear to be, especially on September 29.

Home, family, land and real estate are hot topics throughout the month. It may be time to buy, sell, or renovate. Speaking of renovations, it might be high time for some internal reno’s. The stars are calling for it, and it is always best to stay abreast of what the stars decree.

Your creative juices may be flowing as all kinds of ideas and epiphanies come your way. Something that you might need to get out of the way first is any type of impediments regarding your overall health. The stars are indicating that it is time to take a long hard look at everything and anything that needs healing.

Love has a beginning but no ending. Love should always increase, but never decrease. Now the love planet Venus visits Leo until mid-month, then it enters your house of personal values and earning capacity. It’s time to dig deep and get to the truth of what is what, and what is real.

The full Moon on September 6, will bring light and awareness. Actually, September 4 to 7 are very dynamic days and nights. Try to remember your dreams, and pay attention to psychic impressions that come your way on these days as well. September 17 to 20 are dynamic days in which a new start is indicated.

An energy shift takes place on September 22. The autumnal equinox affects the magnetism of the Earth and it most likely will affect your magnetism as well. Important shifts in consciousness take place for those sensitive enough to pick up on them. September 21 and 22 are days in which unique and interesting news arrives.

Scorpio people are very keen on the power of the collective. Not only keen on collective power, but many Scorpio types love to be at the head of whatever is going on. They love to run the show. September offers up myriad opportunities to get together with like-minded souls, groups, and affiliations of all sorts.

Saturn lingers in Sagittarius for a few more months. Saturn rules falls from high places. My Sagittarius neighbour fell off his ladder, and my Sagittarius grandson fell off his motorbike. Both are licking their wounds. Brighten up, they’re all good lessons learned in the school of hard knocks. Career opportunities may manifest this month.

Spirituality, philosophy and all matters to do with travel and education come into play now. Overall this is a time of transition and regeneration. It’s a long-term thing, and not to be worried about, but the main theme is continuing to let go of the past, enjoy the present, and embrace the future.

Oh, what a trail we have left behind throughout the ages. It’s nearly overwhelming to even consider how long our soul has existed, and how many times you have reincarnated on this planet. Heavy and heady as it is, you might be interested in delving into the deeper waters of the soul’s existence now.

The full Moon on September 6 occurs in your sign. The Moon conjuncts with Neptune opening up a channel of awareness and connectedness with your higher self. Pay attention to all that comes to pass from September 4 to 7. Love and forgiveness, kindness and gentleness will get you to where you want to go.

The stars are indicating that it’s going to be a hot Summer, sunny or not. The Full Moon on July 8 is accompanied by Mars and Pluto. As we know, Full Moons heighten energy, bringing high tides and high emotions. Mars and Pluto are intense energies in their own rights, and when mixed together can bring up some pretty nasty weather. Hmmm, let’s see, is there anything going on politically in Canada or the U.S. that can reach its boiling point? Choose a topic and use the info above as an overlay or template and let’s see how the action unfolds. We already know that the real estate market is hot and getting hotter by the day. We may be looking at an election call in B.C. How fun is that? How about all the violence going on amidst the gang communities, not to mention the opioid crisis. Yee ha, ride ‘em cowboy!

The New Moon on July 23 also is closely associated with Mars and he generally is looking for a fight. Mars also rules fires, so it would be wise to be extra cautious when out in nature. When Mars is around we have choices to make. We can exercise free will and not react angrily when others are behaving ignorantly, and if anything, the positive use of Mars energy is valour and bravery. The choice is ours to make. Slow down and take your time. Show a little curtesy to others, it’s contagious.

August offers up a lunar and solar eclipse for our consideration and contemplation. Sure enough the lunar eclipse on August 7 has Mars in the picture again, and as already mentioned it puts us in fight mode and we will be up in arms about one thing or another. Again, we have choices to make, that make all the difference in the world to our peace of mind and happiness.

The solar eclipse on August 21 is most impactful in the sense that it lands on a most sensitive spot in Donald Trump’s horoscope. August and September are indicating a most fateful time in the mans life. It is highly probable that a big event takes place such as his impeachment or some other event that impedes him dynamically and dramatically. This summer is a time of clearing up and cleaning out a whole lot of entangled and contentious issues. The true remedy for our troubles and ills is to love one another, and to inculcate a sense of tolerance and forgiveness, patience and compassion. We’re only here for a short while.

Lord Mars is busy as can be throughout the summer. You will have a series of challenges to surmount. The nature of man is that he either moves forward in his journey or falls back, but never remains in one place. Step up your game, and apply more and more effort. It will pay good dividends.

It looks like July will run more smoothly than August. It would be to your benefit to get things done in July while the stars are in a cooperative mood. It might be a bit more challenging or possibly frustrating as a different energy blocks your pathway and efforts in the Month of August.

Career and earning sectors of your solar chart are very enhanced in July so make hay while the sun shines. Lord Mercury goes retrograde on August 13, and can throw a stick into the spokes regarding agreements, contracts and negotiations. Travel plans can go awry as well so be prepared as best as you can.

July offers up some challenges on the home front and career sector. With a little bit of effort you can overcome your concerns, and with major effort you can be very successful. August sweetens up and the overall energy smooths out nicely. New people and new places are on the cosmic menu as well.

Travel is indicated in July. Long and short journeys take place. Writing and publishing interests get a boost as well. It’s a good month for tests and exams. August has more challenges and possible hurdles to overcome. Career changes could take place, and could be very much to your benefit. Good energy is on the horizon.

August holds a strong promise of travel, which of course usually uplifts the Sagittarius spirit. Romance may not be a stranger, and a warm summer is indicated.

The Sun travels through Gemini until June 20. Gemini is a mutable – air sign. Mutable in the sense that we just cannot jump from the rainy cool days of early spring into the intense heat of the summer season. There has to be a period of adaptability as nature adjusts to the climatic changes taking place. The element of air in astrology relates to the intellect and reasoning faculties. We’re inspired. Spring has sprung and we’re out and about along with the birds and the bees doing our thing. Everything is beautiful, fresh and new. Likened to this time in nature, the souls that are born into Gemini are blessed with angelic qualities. Myriad artists, poets, musicians, intellectuals, educators, business types, promoters, sales people and others with a great litany of intellectual capabilities are born at this time. Mercury is the planetary ruler of this sign. Castor and Pollux are the twin stars ruling the constellation of Gemini. Curiously one of the twins was a boxer, the other an intellectual.

So far we have portrayed Gemini as an angelic sign, but don’t be fooled or misled by this. Being of the element of air, some Geminis can be devoid of deeper feelings, and this may manifest as hard heartedness and cruelty. Generally they’re sweet and kind, but if crossed or if the energy is distorted in some way, then they can play havoc and cause serious pain and consequences, and not think too much about it later. They can shake your hand with one hand, and have the other hand in your back pocket at the same time. Remember Gemini Trump commenting on that woman that must be bleeding? Although we all knew what he really meant, he commented later that he meant a nose bleed, and that anyone that thought otherwise was despicable. Yeah sure Donald. Gemini is known to be amoral, meaning if you didn’t catch them at it, they didn’t do it. Let’s get back to the high side of this very interesting and highly complex sign. When you come across a Gemini that is flying right they are a delight. Highly gifted, multi-talented and generous to a fault describes the angelic Gemini. On the other hand, my Gemini stepdad astonished me one day. He stuck his head out of the window and yelled at the kids playing in the yard to cut that Gdamned swearing out! He also saved a woman from being attacked in our yard one night, but after scaring off the attacker, he would not allow the woman into our house. Got to love those Gemini’s.

Aries is like the knight who jumps on his charger and goes off in all directions at the same time. The stars are in a good position and are offering many opportunities for you to get it right. Your earning potential is strong, and getting into a good house may be on your mind.

Creative energy is running high all month. A busy time is indicated. Wheeling and dealing takes place as all kinds of opportunities manifest. The Saints and Mystics teach us that our fate and destiny is decided even before our bodies are formed. Our fate – destiny, a.k.a. karma is formed by our own hand, written by our thoughts and actions in the previous lifetimes. Karma represents our indebtedness, what we owe, and what is owed to us. Negative thoughts and actions are chains of iron, and positive thoughts and actions are chains of gold. Both are chains, and are designed to keep us on the wheel of transmigration in a never ending cycle of births and deaths mounting to millions of years, and millions of incarnations in the 8,400,000 species of life forms on dear old planet Earth. Then in his great mercy the creator sends his Sat Gurus to the Earth to emancipate and free our souls and start us on our journey back to our true home, in a place where there is no dissolution, no death, and only eternal love, light and bliss exist. None of this was designed by man. It has existed as long as the creation itself, and was designed by the creator, and most of it is far too deep and complex for our limited human brain to even comprehend. Astrology in its true usefulness represents the roadmap of our karmic journey through time from the womb to the tomb. The karma that we carry is inexorable, unalterable and must be worked through. Positive or negative, it is all a blessing designed to bring us into the light once again. If we were to live a life of peace, kindness, compassion and forgiveness, by the by we would surely evolve into true humane beings. Yet this amount of people carry our fate in their hands. With all of our technology, and all of our ability to be connected and communicate we continually fail miserably to attain any lasting peace. I feel a deep shame about this. These men who continue to threaten our very existence, continue and insist on pointing their insidiously dangerous and destructive weapons at each other. Seven thousand people saying what is going to happen to the seven billion people that live here. When will we ever learn, and why do we allow these weak, short sighted, paranoid souls to run the show?

It’s a time of gathering and learning about all kinds of things. Gotta love that quote. We can apply it to our own lives, and we certainly can apply it to the stars and planets as they drive us onward towards our fate and destiny. We elect the politicians and hope that they are steering our ship properly. It hardly ever works out that way, and we usually end up very disappointed with their leadership and behaviour. We groan, whine and complain, and everything remains the same. The rich get richer, and the rest of us keep grinding out a living, and then we die.

“Tis the set of the soul that decides its goal, and not the calm or the strife.” Here we are in the Kali Yuga (aka) the iron age. Is there high stress? Yes. Are we living in dangerous times with all the nuclear weapons and other nasty devices that we have created to wipe out the bad guys, whomever they are? Yes. I’d like to write about how nice it will be in a few years when the planets change their positions, but I think the maladies that we suffer from are going to be around for quite some time. It seems hopeless, but it is not, especially if we set our soul on its right course and proper journey.

What we really need is a revolution in consciousness. The human spirit is truly something great. Look what Mahatma Gandhi did, and of course we killed him for it. But that’s not the point. It’s not how we die, but how we live that makes the real difference. Pluto the planet of regeneration and transformation will be in Capricorn (ruling Governments) for seven more years, and then Aquarius (ruling social awareness) for twenty more, and then Pisces (ruling spirituality) past the mid century point. We have a great opportunity to reshape the landscape, politically, socially and spiritually. We have free will of choice. Through calm or strife, if we are centred and balanced within ourselves then that will make a huge difference. There’s plenty of land, and plenty of food to go around to feed everyone on the planet. The plan starts with you as you learn to live a nonviolent, loving and giving lifestyle.

An internal and spiritual change is happening. Can you feel it? You probably sense it, and know it. Now you’ve just got to get with it, and live your truth. The full moon on April 10, will shine some light on your situation. You can’t stand untruth, and now it’s time to do something about it.

It’s time to rework the plan. Taurus always has a plan, a scheme or a dream that they continually work towards. April offers up a time to rethink everything, and with Mars moving through Taurus you will be provided with the courage and determination to forge a new pathway. Make it a worthy endeavor.

Many Geminis have been blown off course and scattered to the winds in the last few years. Life has wrought all kinds of big changes. Not necessarily negative, but probably daunting. The obvious remedy is to jump right in and create what you can. Start by eliminating what is not worthy, useful or productive.

Career and family sectors of your chart are highly activated. Plus you are being reshaped, chiseled, and reformed in some fashion. Basically there’s good energy happening. It’s really about values and ethics, and what will truly make you happy. The answers lie within.

The Libra full moon on April 10 will illuminate what is what, and what truly needs attention and action. Famous for indecisiveness, you will be prodded into making decisions. Watch for over-reaching, and over-doing anything. Jupiter’s generosity and vision helps you to see the big picture. Timing and destiny meet up now.

It’s time to get all your ducks in a row. Strangely you may be in position to benefit from other’s misfortunes. Plus you have the power to conquer enemies. Sometimes it’s the enemies within that do us in. All kinds of contrasting scenarios take shape now. Kindness, consideration and diplomacy win the day. The heat is on.

You may be humming the tune of, I owe, I owe, it’s off to work I go. It’s true, we’re here to work off our indebtedness in order to be free of the harness and bit. Bite the bit, or the bullet and settle up the accounts. A big relief comes once it’s done.

What you covet and desire so deeply today, may turn out to be the albatross around your neck a few years from now. To desire less is best, for what is meant to come our way will come anyway. Spiritual emancipation and freedom is the true target to shoot for. It’s the only mountain worthy of climbing.
