Well I’ve been sitting here for two hours and nothing’s coming, so I’m just going to wing it, and tell you about the days ahead in this week’s column. We start the week with a full Moon on April 9 along with a series of harmonious planetary aspects. The Sun becomes exalted in the nineteenth degree of Aries which happens to be the degree of the full Moon. Spring is truly here and we can see the evidence of what the Sun brings to us throughout all of nature. An Aries Libra lunation is very dynamic. It is a lively time that is met with full enthusiasm. Somewhere, somehow we must find the balance between independent action and cooperative co-existence. Aries’ key words are “I am” while Libra’s key words are “I balance.” The full Moon will assist us in finding the balance in accordance with our own birth charts.
Good Friday on April 10 may indeed be a very good day as the Sun and Jupiter harmonize as do Mercury and Pluto. It means that there will be agreements struck, alliances formed and other good news that helps lift our spirits. Retrograde Venus backs into Pisces which is her sign of exaltation, bringing more love and more compassion into our lives. Yes, we all need more love and we can never get enough love. Oddly, it is the only commodity that increases when we give it. All other forms of giving lead to depletion. Pisces is a sign of mysticism and spirituality and now the co-rulers of Pisces, namely Jupiter and Neptune are heading for a conjunction in the late degrees of Aquarius which I believe will bring a flood of compassion and spiritual awakening to many souls. The whole drama is in the hands of the Lord and we dance to the tune of our own making and now a window of opportunity to truly receive enlightenment is at hand. We may witness the genesis of all sorts of new social and spiritual groups popping up. A back to the land movement could be strongly in the picture. We kind of get the picture as a dawning new reality sets in that there is no road back but only the ever living present and the future to anticipate.
Keep in mind that love and happiness does not come from outside, but only from within ourselves. We are faced with the task of how to care for and nurture Mother Earth as we learn to care for her inhabitants. Just as a loving mother cannot resist the cry of her child, God’s love will descend as he hears our cries.
Easter Sunday is about Jesus’ resurrection and it is also a time for us to consider our own resurrection into a spiritual life. Jaded and satiated in varying degrees we need some purification, simplification, love and devotion. Awake, arise and meet the day with all that you can.
By Monday the Moon squares Saturn changing the tone and snapping us back into the reality of having to feed the kids and take care of business. April 14 and 15 are mixed days chock full of surprises, shocks and other sorts of unusual phenomena. Concerns regarding natural or manmade disasters come into play. An exciting time has arrived in which many wonderful, magical and mystical experiences will open us up and hopefully open up our hearts a bit. It is time to set the cornerstone. Not the one for a building or structure but the cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle that brings purity, peace, light and love into our beings and radiates outwards to all those around.
We seek God’s love. We want his attention.. My Guru taught us that God is love and love is God and the way back to God is through love. Nothing else will do.

The Aries – Libra full Moon on April 9 will illuminate many facets of your life. Breakthroughs and epiphanies inspire you onward. April and May heat up significantly. You will be busy and active with much to do. Life shines brighter than it has for a while. You are the first born and must lead the way. It is time to find your holy grail.

Mercury visits Taurus from April 9 to 30 bringing an increase in all kinds of activities. It is a very good time for research and discovery. Topics of interest are tackled earnestly. Designing and planning along with learning all that you can fills the days. Stay on the case with a positive attitude and make good use of the promising springtime energy.

In true Gemini style two distinct planetary patterns are having some sway in your life. On the one hand the Sun, Jupiter and Neptune are casting fine energy into your sign, especially at full Moon time on April 9, bringing breakthroughs and lucky breaks. Travel and educational opportunities materialize. On the other hand you may experience April 14 and 15 with a bit of irony, as things work out differently than expected.

Your social status gets a boost as all kinds of unique alliances take shape. A lively and productive time is indicated and it would be wise to be proactive. The full Moon on April 9 may bring work offers or career opportunities. Someone from afar pays a visit, possibly an old love, or maybe you will go on a journey.

If you have been longing for that special partner that fills the bill on every level, it could happen soon. Other forms of relationships, (non sexual) may blossom, especially with spiritually minded people. Travel features strongly now and again the likelihood of romantic or spiritual connections is increased. You may be restless and seeking a boost to the next level.

Life could go a little haywire from April 13 to 15 and you may have to scramble in order to keep it all together. Without making it sound too dramatic it just may be wise to keep in mind that others may be short tempered and short sighted, and you could get roped into reacting in a similar manner. Avoid confrontation and danger on these days. Then again, if you are the daredevil type, fill your boots.

The full Moon on April 9 occurs in your sign. Just as the full Moon illuminates the night sky, your inner sky becomes illuminated. Problems and concerns that have been on your mind come to a resolution. A purging of sorts takes place. Blessings in many forms are coming your way. If you long for a deeper more spiritual love and life, then now definitely is the time to seek it. You have taken flight and must learn to ride the currents in order to attain the heights that you desire. Life deepens in every way from here on in.

Mars and Pluto are the co-ruling planets for Scorpio. Mars is called the cutter and is associated with all forms of sharp cutting instruments. Surgeons, sculptors, carvers and welders are often Scorpios. Now is the time to learn your craft and perfect your skills. The planets are swaying in your favour and all efforts will be rewarded in the future.

Fortunately Sagittarius is amenable to change and often finds changes refreshing. Now is one of those times as changes are in the wind. A move could be in store for some, while others find changes occurring in their family structure or somehow the past comes into play. The full moon on April 9 will help illuminate what it is all about. Career and home life feature at this time. A pinnacle has been reached and accolades come your way. Otherwise a career change could take place or a fall from a high place could be the case.

Home and career sectors are activated by the full Moon on April 9 bringing strong activity in those areas. I nearly fall silent when I attempt to sum up Capricorn’s plight these days. Not from a negative or fearful point at all, but from the point of the heights, power and wealth that are available and attainable. You may walk the path of Siddhartha from wealth to renunciation to wealth, fame and power and seduction back to renunciation all in the next 10 years.

Jupiter and Neptune conjoin in your sign and will be in close proximity over the next four months. You may embark on a journey of discovery and it could be one of internal, spiritual discovery. Possibly flights of fantasy or other forms of escapism may manifest. Know that it is a divine opportunity to truly acquire what you desire, especially in matters of the spiritual heart. The full moon on April 9 along with the planarity positions are in harmony and it just makes life a bit easier with an easy flow.

Mars and Uranus meet up in Pisces on April 15 and it is something you should make note of and pay heed to. Possibly nothing major will take place on that day, with it and the days either side of it going by easily. But with these two rabble-rouser planets meeting up I certainly would err to the side of caution and would be more attentive before making any important moves. Venus reenters Pisces for a 10 day visit starting April 11 and she brings her love and wisdom to the table. Go with the flow and see what the universe offers up.

The first quarter square of the Moon takes place on April 2. The square aspect is formed when two planets are ninety degrees apart on the zodiac. Square aspects often provoke feelings of dread or some type of upset as tensions run high and challenges just seem to materialize throughout the day. In older astrology books the square is described as evil.
Another approach to getting your head wrapped around the square aspect is to compare it to an intersection. Now we know that the intersection is not evil in itself, but things sure can go wrong if we ignore the rules of the road and insist on blasting through. A prudent and sober person approaches the intersection carefully with full attention and gets through safely. In essence the square provides tension and awareness and how we handle it makes all the difference in the world.
Now we will get a chance to flex our astro wisdom as a series of squares and oppositions take shape over the next several days. Venus and Pluto square off on April 3 bringing strong attraction and reaction, intermingled with desire, fire and passion. Plus, the Moon is moving through Leo, dramatizing life to the fullest. Those secret crushes may not withstand the day as jealousy and other forces that seem to not be in our control come up.
Mars opposes Saturn on April 4, while Pluto stands still and begins to retrograde. Mars, Saturn and Pluto are not light, easygoing planets. They carry fairly heavy reputations in the pantheon. Mars is associated with war and aggression, Saturn with restriction, delay and frustration while Pluto weighs in as the planet associated with death and destruction. In their most obvious forms we will witness this planetary phenomena via the violence surrounding the G20 summit, with the Plutonian underground types continuing their battle for dominance in the streets. The Saturnian types represented by the police and the legal structure are certainly having their troubles as they are caught between a rock and a hard place. Sometimes one wonders who the good guys are and who the bad guys are. No doubt we have jumped out of the frying pan right into the fire and the heat is on.
April 6 and 7 are important days in which life’s unfolding drama continues to capture our attention as the Moon moves closer to her full status on April 9. We must learn the lesson that the guru’s have been trying to impart to us, that we cannot wash away blood with blood, but only with the waters of forgiveness. If we only knew how precious life really is we would be way more careful before we willingly waste a life chasing fool’s gold. God’s love and mercy far outweigh the negatives of this world and light and love will always win while the rest just keeps us indebted and suffering under the karmic load.

You may want to hold off on any rash decisions as the Moon moves through your opposite sign Libra from April 7 to 9. The full Moon on April 9 will help illuminate your path, allowing you to see what’s what and what needs to be done about it. Relationships feature prominently, or to put it another way, how you relate to people will be of importance.

April 3 and 4 are important days in which you come to terms and deal with matters of the heart and home. Anything that has been making you unhappy will probably be dealt with now or at least changed significantly. Although there are some tough decisions to be made, at least you will have peace of mind in the long run. You may sense that the clock is ticking and time is passing by, all the more reason to get your act together, especially on the internal, spiritual side of things.

Stormy days are brewing in which you have important decisions to make regarding home and career interests. April 5 to 7 are the trying days and then the storm abates and the Sun shines through brilliantly on April 8 and 9. Friends near and far feature in the days to come. Travel opportunities materialize as does your longing for a higher pathway to tread. Blessings of all sorts are close at hand.

You may be questioning your values these days. An undercurrent of restlessness pervades your psyche and has you wondering if you have made a wrong decision in your choice of mate or career path. I wouldn’t be overly concerned about it, as it is a natural process to re-evaluate your true values once in a while. You may be in the mood to make some changes though. On a more positive spin, imagine being pregnant and going through the overhaul of what stays and what goes in order to bring the new one into a healthy environment.

The Moon passes through Leo from April 3 to 5 just in time for the weekend. The Sun and the Moon form a triangular pattern on April 4 enhancing life all around. A couple of frustrating aspects are happening on the same day and although others may be pulling their hair out you may be soothing their rattled nerves. You shine through just like the rays of the Sun. Leo Rules. I’m convinced of it. Do your thing.

Mars and Saturn clash on April 4 leading to the probability of frustrations running higher than normal. Take the hint and lay back a bit rather than trying to force the issue. Keep a cool head in traffic and allow yourself lots of room and time to get where you’re going. April 6 and 7 are touchy days as well and you will have to tread lightly, tip toe if necessary, but stand firm if backed against a wall. Aside from the fearful approach it may work out as a time in which you are just working hard with not much down time.

The full Moon on April 9 takes place in your sign. Just as the full Moon illuminates the night sky, you may find that this full Moon illuminates your inner sky. In other words the light goes on and problems and concerns are dealt with. At times Libra stands accused of being indecisive. At those times you are in “fact gathering mode” and once you have weighed it all up you can act decisively and with authority. You may be pleased with the outcome of events.

Mars and Pluto, co-rulers of Scorpio are both kicking up their heels as Pluto begins to retrograde and Mars opposes Saturn on April 4. All this action, although intense is affecting your sign in a positive way. You may even enjoy the process of recreating or reinventing yourself in some way. It is a time to plan, organize all aspects of your life. Many Scorpios are naturally inclined to work out and burn off their excessive energy. Plan for a hot spring and summer which is all the more reason to get it together now.

Career frustrations seem to be at the top of the list for dear Sagittarius. April 4 to 7 are days that carry a certain intensity to them and you will have to use your Jupitarian abilities to come through unscathed. Fortunately you are most adept at seeing the big picture and along with your sense of humour, will come through with a joke or two to sum up the times.

The first ten days of the month will hardly provide much of a break. If anything your cup runneth over with too much to do, but you may not mind at all. Actually Capricorn thrives on industry of any sort as long as things are getting done and some sort of progress is recognized. With that you will untiringly move forward, onward and upward. The full Moon on April 9 brings career and home activities to the forefront.

Have you ever had that feeling that something is missing, but you just don’t know what it is? Even if you have the whole enchilada it may not be enough to fulfill the emptiness or longing that won’t go away. Possibly you are destined for a higher reality. In fact, it is a reality that you are destined for a higher road to tread in the future. Now the universe is helping to pry your fingers off the things that you once so dearly valued. Fear not, for there are much higher, brighter realities and adventures in consciousness to be had. Your work is to let go of the past and face the future.

April 3 to 7 are intense days and it won’t take much to set off a round of uncomfortable scenarios. Tensions rise to the surface and the gloves come off. Sometimes it’s just good to blow off some steam, but it may be better to take a steam and sauna and sweat out the toxins in a positive way. It might be that too much work has cropped up or you’ve had no luck finding work and has set your jaw tight. Relax and let the days pass and all will be well once again.

The Aries new Moon takes place on March 26, at 9:06 A.M. PDT. Spring has sprung and now the giant wheel of life picks up speed and the dreary days of winter lose their hold and become hardly a memory. We have things to do, place’s to go, and only a short time to get there. Venus is conjunct the New Moon which certainly is a good thing in the sense that she is able to bring her calm and wise counsel to the table. Venus represents the love that we are willing to give, while Aries is the sign of new life and new beginnings.
Mercury, lord of the Gemini rising sign in this new Moon chart has just entered Aries and is another indicator of lively times coming into play. We will be far too busy to be concerned with what is in the past, and we will be far more likely to just roll up our sleeves and deal with our present day realities with vigor, boldness, confidence and bravery.
The Moon moves through Taurus from March 28 to 30 just in time for the weekend. The Sun is exalted in Aries and the Moon is exalted in Taurus, bringing some of the best days our way. We finish out the month with the Moon passing through Gemini which signals a lively time in which the phone lines will be burning up as we strive to keep in touch with folks in our sphere, or in today’s terms “in our network”.
March 31 is a mixed day. We will experience highs and lows like storm clouds gathering and dissipating rapidly. It may be wise to not carry the April fools jokes too far as the Moon opposes Pluto and squares Venus mid day which is not a lofty nor humorous planetary aspect. It usually represents a flow of tears or some type of sadness being expressed. Jealousy and its fallout should be avoided.
Well, let’s get out there and contribute to the dance of life in all of its glory!

It’s your time of the year and truly time to put it together. The Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus are traveling through Aries bringing all kinds of excitement and adventure into your life. You will be busy doing all that you do. Love may not be a stranger and it could be a love from the past that shows up. Remember that charity begins at home and now you have the opportunity to give yourself a break and take care of yourself.

The Moon visits Taurus from March 28 to 30 bringing you into your lunar high of the month. It’s just about as good as it gets and life flows along to your liking. Create and create some more. Externalize the beauty that you see within and make it a reality. Any sort of concerns or problems to do with your health should be attended to and not toughed out or simply tolerated, as we do know you can be a tad stubborn sometimes.

Gemini rises around the time of the new Moon on March 26 bringing a lively period in which you can do one of Gemini’s favorite things, which is to connect and relate to everyone that you know and don’t know yet. Mercury has just entered Aries and is another signal that life’s activities and demands take hold and you may become very busy, or at least busier than normal. The Moon passes through Gemini on March 30 and 31. Quite the roller coaster ride of emotions takes place. Somewhere in the midst of the laughter and tears, there you stand.

Your solar house of professions is well lit up throughout late March and most of April. Make the best use of this information by being proactive, if not aggressive and at least competitive while this energy is happening. Results come in according to how much energy you put out now. A spiritual changeover may be in the works and travel is still a strong possibility. Although it may not be an easy line to walk these days it is important to educate yourself as the times demand it and it will pay in the future.

Your solar ninth house of travel and spirituality is strongly activated. Philosophic and legal considerations come up. The majority of the planets are swaying in your favour. You may sense a change within as you refocus and refine your values. Benefits come through in the form of a strong partnership or support from others. It may be time to set off on your “walk about” to discover who you are.

While most signs of the zodiac would rather skip over the onerous duties and disciplines that come up when Saturn comes around, your average Virgo would be staring down the details and patiently working them through to their natural conclusions. In other words, Virgo is well equipped with the basic necessities of common sense unless you’re one of the many wild, weird and wonderful Virgos that create their own reality and lifestyle. Well, Saturn is visiting for a spell and it is best to get it all together and get on with the rhythms of life, love and the pursuit of heavenly bliss.

Your solar seventh house of relationships is strongly activated now. The secret of the times is to find the balance between freedom and commitment. Oftentimes Libra may be guilty of giving too much of themselves away and allowing others to run the show. Then there are Libras that overcompensate for this and are perceived as a bit confrontational. Then of course we find the Libra that has found the balance between individuality and sharing with another. Some go it alone, but of course have the reservation that if the right situation came up they would consider it. Well it is possible now that this may take place.

Scorpio is one of the fixed signs of the zodiac along with Taurus, Leo and Aquarius. Each of these signs represents the middle of their respective seasons of the year and they are the most enduring and least changing of the twelve. They find it hard to truly make changes easily or readily while other signs seem to be able to drop everything and walk away and create a new lifestyle with hardly a look back. But you may be the most intuitive and instinctual fixed sign and may make some of your moves on pure instinct. Now is the time to organize, cleanse and renew all aspects of your life. Like the phoenix it is time to resurrect yourself, not just philosophically, but also internally, physically and mostly spiritually. You have work to do and now is the time to do it.

The Aries New Moon on March 26 takes place in your solar fifth house representing creativity, children, romance, business and gambling. Mercury and Venus are traveling through the same area bringing the message home a bit stronger that the above topics will come into play. Challenges at work and home keep you on your toes. Publishing, writing, short journeys, time with friends and educational pursuits also feature these days.

Family matters take up your time and attention now. Home, family and real-estate are all active topics, as are renovations, moving, buying, selling, birthing and dying etc. The past comes up for review and you may come across some memories that you haven’t thought about for a while. Store your treasures where moth and rust cannot corrupt as Pluto continues to make his presence felt in the sense of a possible dissatisfaction with how things are and how the world is. Money, power, sex, name and fame won’t help much. You are starting on a journey of profound discovery that begins with a sense of letting go of what you used to value. God’s love might be what you’re after and if so you will have to approach with heart in hand and fork over all of your earthly treasures as well. You need to know that it is God’s, not yours to dispense with. Go from there.

It is time to adorn yourself in white robes. Two highly spiritual planets, Jupiter and Neptune have met up in Aquarius and will be in close proximity over the next four months. Jupiter brings confidence and themes like expansion and freedom, while Neptune connects us to the spiritual realms. A time of great adventure and discovery is at hand. Scenarios that are downright outrageous, fantastic, hilarious and deeply touching will take place. It could be all out debauchery if you let loose too much. The symbol of the white robes implies proper and sober use of the great gifts and enlightenment that come from above. In essence, it is time to truly make something of yourself and the stars are in the mood to help.

March 31 and April 1 could be trying days in which emotions may be heightened and words are said that could be regretted later. It seems like an uphill battle in the last days of March and early April as frustrations and limitations seemingly crop up. Your courage and boldness will be increased by the presence of Mars visiting Pisces. Know that you are being prepared for much more work and adventure in the years to come as Neptune and Jupiter, both rulers of Pisces come back to this sign in the not too distant future. Your mantra should be, “bring it on and let’s dance.” Remain open to the magic and mystery of life.

The spring equinox takes place on March 20, at 4:44 A.M. PDT. This is probably the most important astronomical and astrological date of year. The position and condition of the planets on this day are believed to carry their significance over the next twelve months. Many ancient cultures paid close attention to this phenomena.
Mercury opposes Saturn and is reflective of our collective fears regarding the economy and the overall state of affairs. Sure enough, locally here in Vancouver we have already walked the plank with no way back to the safety of the ship. Homelessness and the winter Olympics are just a couple of topics we can go on about at length, never mind the all out gang war taking place in the streets. Everything is serious and all things are scrutinized. In a nut shell we have big work to do.
The world economy has seen its worst shake up in half a century. Mercury sits close to Uranus at the time of the equinox and is a harbinger of good news and innovations. That’s the key to the times folks. Life is taking its twists and turns and we must adapt and make do with what is offered. We may discover that there are myriad ways for us to create new experiences and livelihoods in accordance with the times. We cannot move backwards; we can only move towards the future. As a symbol of the times, a dear old friend stopped by for a chat the other day and we carried on about some of the ideas we had in order to accommodate the present day reality. I knew from this conversation that his family and mine would never do without, not while we’re alive. We will survive and we will no doubt streamline and sustain, as will the rest our culture and society. It truly is an exciting time and it will not let up for many generations to come. I wish that I could be around for the exciting changes destined to occur over the next 50 years. Please remember that we are not human beings having spiritual experiences, but spiritual beings having human experiences.
The stars are telling of a time in which great changes are coming to the planet as we continue our growth and evolution onwards to higher, lighter environments with more love and light than we can imagine. Relax, reflect, review and renew is the mantra of the times.

Happy Birthday. The Sun enters Aries on March 20. The Sun is exalted as it moves through Aries. The life giving properties of the Sun are evident as the dance of nature begins once again. The birds and the bees are doing their thing and so will we. Venus brings her blessings to the table in the form of love, abundance, beauty and happiness. It is time for renewal in all aspects of your life.

A busy time spent with friends and family fills the days. The time is right for any form of healing and spiritual work. Visit a friend in need or donate some energy where you can helping those less fortunate. No doubt your wheels are spinning as you anticipate the coming spring and all that you wish to accomplish. Strong urges come up inspiring you to harmonize everything.

Career opportunities manifest around the spring equinox. A surprise offer or news of changes in the work place comes up. Spiritual energy increases and you may be restless and hungry to learn. March 21 and 22 are your best days. Be proactive and make some moves.

March 19 could have its sensitive moments. A poor choice of words could upset the apple cart. Others may appear to be touchy. Fortunately the storm clouds move off quickly. Work opportunities manifest and a career change could be in the making. Travel, adventure and excitement are indicated. Your passion for far off exotic places is stirred up now, and you won’t need much of an excuse to weigh anchor and set sail for who knows where. Your longing for the higher light and love of the divine may manifest strongly now.

The Sun moves through your solar ninth house starting on March 20 bringing up opportunities for travel. Subjects like law, philosophy, politics and spirituality become more of interest as we move into the spring season. March 21 and 22 are important days regarding relationship considerations. Follow your intuition as it is rather strong and clear now. Openhearted one-on-one communication works best now.

The 24 and 25 of March could be testy days in which you may lose your composure and really tell someone off for their callous and reckless ways. “Enough is enough,” you say. It is important to stay fluid and amenable to changes as Saturn continues his lessons of astringency and streamlining of all aspects of life. As Saturn backtracks through Virgo until mid May it offers the opportunity, and probably the necessity to rethink your overall career plans and objectives.

As the Sun commences his 30 day sojourn through your opposite sign Aries on March 20 it signals a time of rest and restoration for your sign. Physically and spiritually you may need a break, but the times are intense and you may find it difficult to let up. It may be wise to take time anyway as our problems never really go away. Sometimes we have to be selfish in order to be selfless. What I mean is that if you don’t take care of yourself, there won’t be much more to give to others.

Interesting news arrives on March 21 and 22 regarding possible business or work ventures. The spring equinox on March 20 lights up your solar sixth house relating to health and work. The urge to organize, heal and cleanse comes on strong now. Real estate activity takes shape, be it buying, selling or restoring. You will be busy as you throw yourself into the fray.

The cosmic star menu calls for sweet and sour tasty delights for dear Sagittarius to dine on in the days to come. The sweet part is the Sun’s journey through friendly Aries starting March 20, inspiring you with the renewed life force that is so prevalent in the spring time. The sour part could come up on March 24 as you work through a few thorny problems. Your ability to see the overall scenario will come in handy now. Curb the instinct to let loose with one of your fiery arrows.

The Moon happens to be passing through Capricorn on March 20 as the spring equinox takes place. Plus it’s a Friday which lines you up for a good start to the weekend. Take some time to rest and reflect and head out the door on Monday March 23 knowing that you are ready to do battle with the best of them. The whole week has an edge to it, and yes, it is spring time and everyone is feisty and ready to go. You mantra is “bring it on!”

March 21 and 22 are your best days as the Moon visits Aquarius. You are in your lunar high which just puts a shine on everything. You run into people and impromptu situations come up that are memorable and fun. Mercury and Uranus conjunct on March 21 and is another indicator of unique communications taking place. It sounds like your kind of time.

The Mercury – Uranus conjunction in your sign on March 21 could bring a surprise or two. Calls, letters and visits come up. Unique times are had. Everything from the bizarre to the ridiculous could be the case, which I’m sure your average Pisces would enjoy, what with your zany sense of humour. You might need that sense of humour to get through March 23 and 24 as they have a bit more edge to them and there may be some tensions that arise.

I think that everyone should express their most favourite poem at least once in their lives. Here is mine. Actually and honestly, it is the only poem that I know and have taken the time to memorize. If you want to know the essence of who I am then read the words of Rabindranath Tagore.
Obstinate are the trammels, but my heart aches when I try to break them.
Freedom is all I want, but to hope for it, I feel ashamed.
I am certain that priceless wealth is in thee, and that thou art my best friend,
but I have not the heart to sweep away the tinsel that fills my room.
The shroud that covers me is a shroud of dust and death;
I hate it, yet hug it in love.
My debts are large, my failures great, my shame secret and heavy; yet when I come to ask for my good, I quake in fear lest my prayer be granted.

Presently Venus is retrograding in Aries allowing you the time to revamp, refresh and beautify your existence. As an example I have Venus in Aries. Aries rules the head and face, while Venus rules the lower jaw. In the last two weeks I have had four teeth extracted, lower jaw of course. In the midst of this activity my glasses broke and now I have new teeth and new glasses and I’m smack in the middle of painting and restoring my home. Somehow and some way you should be following along the same lines. Make ready for a very lively spring season.

The time has come to put the past away and get on with the act and art of creating happiness and harmony. Yes spring is close and you may be restless as you struggle with what stays and what goes. By the way, the grass is not greener in the other side of the fence. It is the same grass and tastes no better. What I mean is that we don’t get to move on to the next thing until the karma we’re dealing with now has been worked out. This is a time in which the past may figure strongly anyway, as in a love from the past coming into the picture. It’s all good.

Life takes on certain intensity and much depends on how you handle yourself when the cards are on the table. Emotions come bubbling to the surface which is always distasteful to your average Gemini. Communications hit a glitch and a domino effect takes place especially on March 17 and 18. Honesty, patience and compassion get you through. Remember that a cut from a sword will heal in a short time but a cut from the tongue may fester for a lifetime.

While others struggle to make ends meet, opportunities just seem to come your way. You can slide by and just enjoy the times lolling on a beach in a far off exotic land. (Which isn’t a bad idea. Take your star gazer with you.) But then again, you may be wasting precious time as the stars are offering lots of opportunities for you to express your gifts and passions.

Whatever our story is or whatever our lot in life, we must remember that we signed up for it by our own thoughts and actions in the past. It not so much a time for retribution as it is for understanding our hand in the play. Life takes on a deeper meaning with much more value than in the past. The trick of the times is to “hang loose” and not freeze up with fear and apprehension. What is meant to be yours will be yours, not a penny more nor less. Romance and travel are in the picture.

Life intensifies throughout the week and it will seem like people are overly sensitive or insensitive and you will have to watch for both tendencies in yourself. March 16 to 18 tells the tale. Misunderstandings may take place along with delays and such. Patience, caution and a willingness to work things through will be needed. The rest of March and all of April carry a strong buzz of excitement, commitment, hard work and challenge.

Health and relationships are the important features for Libra. With Venus retrograding in your opposite sign Aries you may visit the past or a lover from the past shows up on the screen. Whatever it is, now is the time to redefine what you truly want out of life. March 12 and 13 are days in which the moon passes through Libra enhancing life in many ways. Find the balance and live within it.

The Moon visits Scorpio from March 13 to 15 just in time for the weekend. Although it starts with Friday the 13th. The stars are right for some good times spent with those that you love and appreciate. You will be busy as opportunity knocks in the days ahead. Business and pleasure both come your way throughout the month.
The last quarter square of the Moon occurs in your sign on March 18, heightening and intensifying everything. March 16 and 17 are similar. Agreements, contracts and other concerns regarding money and time come up and need to be dealt with. Slow and careful negotiations are needed. Try to see the big picture. Changes at work and home are indicated.

Home, family, your mom, education and other related issues and concerns take up the days. It is not the time to set the cornerstone of your building, but it is time to accommodate the reality that everything is changing and shifting and will continue to go that way for years to come. The problem when you reach the summit of your mountain is the journey back down. In essence it is a time of a great reassessment of all aspects of your life, which leads to a total rebirth of your spirit.

It is not how much you are worth that is important, as much as it is that you live a healthy lifestyle filled with the joy and freedom that you so desire. Drugs, sex and rock and roll won’t get you to where you need to be. Recent defeats are a blessing in disguise. They will make you stronger and will help build your character. At times even great wealth could be a hindrance rather than a blessing. The gods are in a mood to be generous with you if you get it right. Work towards the light.

You will be busy as can be as the Sun, Mercury, Mars and Uranus move through your sign bringing all kinds of activities and challenges your way. Big energy is here and must be utilized in a positive fashion. Work on your body, use caution with anything sharp and keep a healthy respect for fire. Attention behind the wheel is always important but more so throughout March and April. It is time to rewrite the script and allow the universe its say in the matter. March 16 to 18 are intense days that you should regard as important. Hampered communications, delays and such may come up.

“May you live in interesting times” is a well known ancient curse. We are undoubtedly living in interesting times and it’s difficult to say just how things will turn out. In many recent columns I have carried on about the Saturn – Uranus opposition dominating the skies until September 2010. Saturn and Uranus could not be in more divergent positions, nor be more opposite in opinion, style, philosophy and ideology. Somehow we must translate, assimilate and accommodate their teachings in order to exist in a somewhat cohesive, healthy society. Not only are Saturn and Uranus totally different in their expression, they are visiting Virgo and Pisces and these two signs are opposite to one another and totally different in their respective takes on reality. Conservation, deprivation, starvation and impoverishment are just a few Saturnian keywords. Virgo is the sign of natural and practical living. Virgo is a no-nonsense sign that is very similar in its character to Saturn. The combination of Saturn in Virgo just magnifies each of their respective contributions to life on dear old Mother Earth.
With the world markets suffering trauma after trauma and Obama promising the Moon as they talk about trillions of dollars of indebtedness we know that we are in big trouble. No sense droning on about how bad and scary that it all is. From the starry perspective the energy unfolding is corrective as we realign the monetary game worldwide once again.
Saturn in Virgo reprimands us for our wasteful, polluting and greedy ways. He also imparts deep lessons which lend wisdom and gratefulness to our souls. We will not fall off the planet and we will continue to feed our kids. Which brings us to another serious topic of the Saturn – Virgo combination, health care, especially for the burgeoning elder population and the overall state of affairs regarding our physical and psychological well being.
We are dealing with obesity, heart disease, diabetes cancer and many other debilitating diseases which probably stem from what we have put into our bodies. Now we may wake up to the reality that we need improved diets, minus the chemical additives and every other thing that robs our bodies of nutrition. I think we are going to become part of the wave of back to the land people as we once again learn the often hard lessons of self sufficiency.
Then we have the maverick trouble maker and revolutionary planet Uranus moving through a sign that has no real form but is symbolized by the oceans and seas. As tightly wound and bound as Saturn in Virgo can be, in the opposite direction Uranus moving through Pisces is completely wild and unhinged. Imagine what happens when the town fathers (Saturn / Virgo) and the punk rockers, rappers, bikers and every other fringe element (Uranus / Pisces) meet up. Well it is happening. We have chaos in the streets with 20 shootings in 30 days. We have the Saturnians which represent all aspects of governing such as the police and those that run the show explaining and promising to get it together and spank the bad guys. Fifty years from now the kids will be watching the history channel to see what happened at the turn of the century and they will marvel at the violence, chaos and crudeness of the times. So if things seem a tad out of control it is because they are out of control and like everything else, it will pass.
The full Moon on March 10 is very much aligned with Saturn and Uranus and we will learn more of what this profound planetary combination has to offer. Allow two days either side of the full Moon date as the most impactful days. In essence dear readers, it is time to get ourselves together and ride out this wild weather. We have already embarked on a new journey of discovery as we strive to revolutionize, harmonize and economize our lives. Look at this as one of healing and balancing, not a time of loss but one of gains on a deep spiritual level. No doubt our lives will be enriched.

“Let the wild flower grow in the dark and when it is ready, it can show its beauty”, was an apt saying of my Guru. It is your time to grow in ways that others don’t see. Do it now. Do what you must do to bring peace, happiness, love and balance into your life.

Read the Aries message as it applies to your sign as well. No doubt you will be reflecting on matters of the heart as you weigh up your values and prepare to move on to greener pastures or at least to a place where you can live in peace and relative harmony.

March 8 to 10 may be difficult days as tensions are riding high. A journey or a move may be in store, possibly both. Take the high road. The full Moon on March 10 runs in harmony with your sign, although things may not be harmonious as others get squirrely on you or around you. Unusual and unique circumstances develop which feed your innate curiosity, especially while traveling. Friday March 6 is your kind of day. Make the best use of it.

You have to channel that restlessness into something positive. You may have been pacing the den too much. We are in dynamic and dramatic times and we’re all going to have to let go and readjust to the new realities as they roll in like giant waves. Hard lessons regarding what you value are onboard. Stay flexible and amenable to change, especially from March 7 to 11.

Although you may be caught up in the whirlwind of the times, striving to make ends meet and to make sense of the imbalance, it is important for you to take time to find the balance within yourself.

When times are getting tough, I keep an eye on the Scorpios, mainly because you will live and work from a deep instinctive and intuitive level. What you do, others will probably follow. At the end of the 1970’s I noticed my Scorpio friends selling their businesses and moving to the small islands. Sure enough tough times showed up as we began the eighties. The full moon on March 10 will help illuminate your pathway.

The full moon takes place on March 10 and its effects are felt up to two days either side of it. Use these times in which the full moon energy is most effective to your benefit. You may be cooking on some hot ideas and it is time to make your approach as changes are indicated at home or work, or possibly both.

Journeys long and short take up your time. Journeys of the mind and spirit help you in your internal growth. It is hard not to get rattled with the great amount of rapid changes that we are experiencing these days. I have the greatest of confidence in Capricorn people for they will survive and thrive in good and difficult times. The stars still sway in your favour and hopefully you will help accommodate the concerns of the day.

Purity and simplicity are the requirements needed in order to pick up on the profound offerings from the universe that are heading your way in the late spring and lasting throughout the year. Visions, epiphanies and all kinds of great innovative ideas may inspire you, along with a few miracles thrown in for good measure. Freedom, fairness and happiness may be closer than you think. A spiritual awakening is in store for some of you.

The full Moon on March 10 will illuminate many areas of concern for you. Give a couple of days either side of the full moon as important and impactful days. Surprises and changes come up. Dealing with elders and their concerns could be the case. Overall it is a time in which you can see the direction in which you must move in, or move away from.
