February 2014

The Aquarius new Moon takes place on January 30. It contains the seed potential destined to unfold as we head into February. Aquarius is known as the sign representing humanitarian love and caring, depicted by a god with an urn on his shoulder. Many are led to believe that water is flowing out of the urn, but actually it is knowledge and wisdom. The keywords representing Aquarius are “I know” and those born under the stars of Aquarius are gifted with great intelligence and an instinct to care for others. They have been given the gift of impersonal love. We might want to take a peek deep into our hearts to see how we measure up to the Aquarian standards of humanitarian love. Love is innate in every heart. Even the meanest and baddest people in our midst will respond to love and kindness. Often, what seems to be missing is the ability to give love to our selves.

Being a fixed air sign, Aquarius can be very stubborn and obstinate in its ways. Speaking of love, Valentine’s Day on February 14 also happens to be a full Moon day, which will serve to heighten our emotions and affections. For those that are single and pining for someone special to enter their lives, this is certainly the time to express those feelings of love and affection. On a deeper level, the love we seek from other people is already wired into our hearts and when the karma gods bring two souls together, we are elated and over the moon in love. Remember the heartthrob you went to high school with, but nothing ever happened between you? That is because you had no karma to work out together in this lifetime. The people we do fall in love with have been travelling with us for countless lifetimes.

We westerners think of karma as negative indebtedness, but karma also represents love, service and devotion. When we meet that special person, we have those uncanny feelings of knowing that person deeply although we don’t know how we know them in that way. When the karma is complete, we move on to the next stage set for our growth and development. If the karma is not cleared up, we may jump the fence thinking the grass is greener on the other side only to find ourselves eating the same grass again. As we know, it takes a prince to win a princess and sometimes we have to kiss a lot of toads before we meet the true prince.

Aries You may feel like you were shot out of a cannon and will hit the net in a couple of years. It’s true; you’re on the move and travelling through space at an incredible rate of speed. Fear not; you will land on your hooves, no doubt. Go with it and strive to be original.

Taurus It may be time to reinvent yourself, which is no easy task for your sign. Taurus likes what they like and will never like what they don’t like. But now you are in a time in which flexibility will assist you in becoming successful. Resistance to change will only make your life more difficult.

Gemini

Blow the dust off that journal and start recording your thoughts, dreams and conversations, as February is destined to be a very mixed bag of cosmic forces you must contend with. Death, taxes and health are just a few topics on the menu. Travel and spirituality are big keys now as well.

Cancer

Big cosmic forces are at play. You will serve yourself well by striving for the best. Jupiter continues to pour his benevolent energy into your sign. You can party and have a good time or make hay while the sun shines. My hint is to find the balance in all things and give of yourself generously.

Leo

The Moon lands in your sign on Valentine’s Day. Leo rules the heart and ofttimes Leo does have a big heart. Have heart and take time to rest and repair. Stresses can be high throughout the month. Strive for clarity and honesty in your communications and dealings, as misunderstandings can take place easily.

Virgo

Lord Mercury, aka the trickster, hooks up with Neptune, the planet of illusion and confusion. Basically, it means nothing is real and everything is surreal. The antidote for this cosmic combination is to speak the truth, live honourably and triple-check that you are on the same page with coworkers, friends and family members.

Libra

As the month begins, take some time to figure out what you want or don’t want in your life any longer. The cosmic dance is quite profound and a lot of energy is pouring into Libra. Use it wisely to help you in making the decisions that will bring the scales to balance.

Scorpio

Now is the time to enter into the deep inner sanctum of your spirit. You may find the dragon you fear the most is not even real, but the fear itself can be very real. Raking over the past won’t help much and the future is spotless. Purify, simplify and free yourself up.

Sagittarius

Money and health are general topics for all signs, but they now loom even more meaningfully in your life. Keep in mind that every hair on your head has been counted as well as every breath and what is meant to be yours will be. Not a penny less or more. Relax and nurture your spirit.

Capricorn

A time of reassessment is at hand. Let go and let God is the way to go. Others may go out of your life now or you may leave the scene. Whatever the case, big changes are in the wind. Fear not and, if anything, dance with and accommodate what the universe brings your way.

Aquarius

The New Moon on January 30 heralds a time of important changes. Whatever is on the cosmic agenda, you most likely will understand it by the light of the full Moon on February 14. You may have to re-invent yourself in some way. Confusion has its cause and costs. You must find the answers.

Pisces Mercury and Neptune mix it up in your sign in the first half of February. Things may get cloudy for a while and it could stress you out. My hint is to not be too concerned. Honesty, patience and quiet persistence will work wonders. Your dream world will be very fertile, telling and prophetic.

January 2014

The much-dreaded Saturn – natural ruler of Capricorn and Aquarius – holds cosmic court over the next two months. Saturn rules the New Moon on January 1 and we best get a handle on what this stern, paternal/maternal guide is all about. Saturn is feared because he is associated with death, discipline, restriction, poverty and disease. Look back to a time in your life when you went through some type of hardship or loss and, guaranteed, Saturn will be in the play. Although we tend to vilify him, he is very much part of the karmic planetary scheme. As Shakespeare so aptly put it, “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves, that we are underlings.”

The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are in the mix with this new Moon energy and it has caused me to raise an eyebrow as to what the significance of this starry mix is all about. Will it mean trouble? No doubt it will. Should we be worried? Yes, if we are predisposed to worrying. Worrying won’t make our problems go away though. Here’s a scenario that may help us have clearer insight into what this planet is all about: When a Mom approaches the crosswalk with her kids, she emphatically warns them of the dangers involved in crossing the street. She might even yell at them in order to convey her seriousness less they dart out into the traffic. The kids may not like it, but they’ll remember it always.

Government, education and justice systems are ruled by Saturn. We are in troubling times and obviously there are myriad complex problems to work through. Yet today’s worries will be replaced with another set of concerns as time marches on. Unrest, wars, revolutions, corruption, pollution, poverty and all the other things we drone on about are on the cosmic menu.

Let’s take Saturn’s symbolism to a deeper level. Saturn carries a sickle so we can cut away from those things that bring us pain and disease. Although Saturn is not a pleasant character to deal with, once you pass his stringent laws and restrictions, you will experience freedom, health and peace. He is Father Time and when we disobey his stringent laws, we pay in the form of disease and suffering. Like Saturday’s child, we must work hard and within the laws of nature. Once we do, we are set free. Although his energy is quite sobering, the lessons we garner through Saturn will carve a deep and sagacious wisdom into our souls.

Aries The trail-blazing pathway you carve out will be trod by many souls in the future. If you’re not sure which way to go, or how to go, just be true to yourself, live honourably and follow your instincts. Your past life experiences will kick in and you will be well on your way.

Taurus Although you may get what you want by your sheer will and persistence, will it be enough and will it truly make you happy? My bet is that it won’t. You may be appeased for a while, but not wholly satisfied. Seek, search, pray and meditate for God’s love, which is non-perishable and eternal.

Gemini One thousand books read, countless academic degrees attained and still no peace of mind. You are sharp, witty and connected to all kinds of people, yet still no peace. I have found there is a deep well of spirituality in the Gemini soul and it must be nurtured and fed and peace will come.

Cancer A great planetary focus is taking place. You must do your best in order to capitalize on it. Material acquisition won’t cut it; neither will any other form of ego aggrandizement. Only God’s love will do. Seek it, yearn for it, pray for it and while you’re at it, what’s meant to be yours will manifest.

Leo Oh, spiritual warrior, where art thou? Hopefully, you’re not counting your dollars and dimes, nor pondering your past attainments. You have a much higher calling. Move forward brave heart and commence your search for the divine. Show us and lead us with your golden ray of the Sun. Strike while the iron is hot.

Virgo At some point in your life, you must lay down the question and answer format. The intellect can only get you so far and no farther. A divine time has arrived in which faith and devotion will bring you to new heights, beyond your wildest imagination. Purify and perfect your inner self.

Libra Make war, not peace. Mars, which is totally antithetical to Libra, spends the next several months in your sign. By war, I’m not talking violence. It’s about the internal struggle for freedom, balance and spiritual harmony. Take up your lance and shield, slay the ego and attachment to worldly desires and peace will come.

Scorpio Read the introduction regarding Saturn for he is the main planetary energy affecting you throughout 2014. You can only sweep the dirt under the carpet for so long until eventually you stumble over it. You have the power, grit, wisdom and determination to put it all together and now is the time to do so.

Sagittarius Have you had enough yet? Life got you down a bit. Maybe another vacation will do, probably not. You cannot escape yourself, no matter where you go. The only way to go is up. You’ve attained the heights before; otherwise you couldn’t be a Sagittarius. Let go, let God and you will find the way.

Capricorn A most powerful and profound time has arrived and you must capitalize on it. That’s what you are most capable of, isn’t it? Climb the internal mountain, which is the most worthy effort and the great boon of your human birth. Otherwise, you have wasted your time and must come around again.

Aquarius We don’t hear this very often, but Aquarius is a very mystical sign. You have a most precious jewel between and behind the two eyebrows and so far you have ignored its pristine beauty and value. Start now and don’t look back. Pray for guidance and as surely as the Sun rises, it will come.

Pisces You’ve come a long way in your spiritual journey and now things are destined to become very interesting. Remember that exercise in which you fall back into the arms of your trusting friends? Now you can fall back into the strong arms of the Lord and for sure he will not fail to catch you

December 2013

The Sagittarius new Moon takes place on December 2. The new Moon is best depicted as a seed bursting forth its power and potential in the waxing phase of the lunar cycle. Let’s take a look at the symbolism connected to this very dynamic sign. The pictograph of a Centaur pointing an arrow heavenward carries the implication of the transition from animal to spirit. Overcoming the downward pull of the senses and redirecting our attention to the higher realms of truth and spirit is what Sagittarius is all about. A deep longing for righteousness and purity manifests through this sign. Jupiter, king of the gods, rules Sagittarius. The souls born under the stars of Sagittarius often attain great heights and become giants in their spheres of influence. The Jupiter / Sagittarius energy spikes us onwards and upwards as we sort out where we’re truly at in the cosmic sphere of things. Perhaps we’re lacking in our efforts to do better. We know how easy it is to become distracted, derailed and put off our game. The archer is pointing his arrow heavenward representing his desire to reach the higher realms.

According to the true mystics, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva created the system of stars and universes and all that they imply. The karma we carry with us throughout the incarnations manifests to us via the planets and how they are situated in our birth charts. When the stars and planets are in right alignment, in accordance to our karmic slate, we are birthed in order to work with what we are bringing into this life. When the great mystic Kabir stepped onto the Earth, he saw that no one was happy with their lot. We may grow restless, discontent and dissatisfied with our Earth life. Those that enjoy the wealth and riches and those that exist in poverty may know that their situations are temporary and transitory. In one life, the guard stands in the snowstorm protecting his King. In another life, he is the King and the former King is the guard standing duty.

Things are not as they seem and we’re here for a short while and in the blink of an eye we’re gone. Now is the time to make amends and to make vows to work towards your true emancipation and freedom. We are love and we are light and we have been given the great boon of human birth. The Sagittarius stars are prompting us to reach for the higher realties. We come from a place high above the stars; one day for sure we will meet there and rejoice.

Aries Aries, you have the power and potential to break through any type of barrier. Great changes have already arrived for those born in the first week of Aries. You must use your ability to adapt and make changes where necessary. Stay true to yourself and allow the universe to set things right –and it will.

Taurus A deep, prevailing wisdom has been carved into your soul in the last year or so. Births and deaths, limitations and restrictions have taken place. Duty, diapers and responsibilities dominate your days and you may not mind. There are more opportunities for stability and growth. Chop wood and carry water as the old saying goes.

Gemini The full Moon on December 17 takes place in your sign bringing epiphanies. The Sun moves through your opposite sign Sagittarius signalling a time in which you can let down and relax a bit, or at least you should consider doing so. It’s the right time to sort out relationship issues as well.

Cancer Sun sign columns are generalized and one shoe doesn’t fit all. Generalized or not, if I were a Cancer and knew what I knew about planetary influences, I would be on the move and very pro-active about getting myself together in every way. Opportunities for growth, expansion, love and happiness are close at hand.

Leo The summer of 2014 to the summer 2015 is where you want to get to. The long view looks good if you play your cards right. Think big and think long-term and get working on your plan to make it all happen. Although driven at times, Leo can be quite lazy, just like my cat.

Virgo Man does not live by bread alone. His soul needs nurturing as well. You are pragmatic and grounded in your logic, no doubt. But along comes Neptune in your opposite sign Pisces casting his glance your way for at least the next decade. He opens you up to all kinds of new realties and spiritual possibilities.

Libra ‘Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.” Hopefully, that is the way Christmas will pass. A powerful planetary aspect unfolds at Christmas time and it can indicate a lively time or a time of accidents, fires and clashes of wills or egos. Go easy.

Scorpio Saturn continues to make his way through Scorpio. Generally, Saturn teaches us to live with less. Scorpio deeply appreciates a rhythmic order of things. This powerful transit of Saturn will help you put your life together in a healthy, balanced way. It is a challenging time in which you gain wisdom and experience.

Sagittarius Lord Jupiter moves through your solar eighth house bringing matters of inheritance into play. Plus, the Sagittarius new Moon on December 2 indicates a new start. The full Moon on December 17 will illuminate the pathway ahead. Your desire to get to the deeper truths may have you searching and seeking.

Capricorn A cardinal grand cross takes shape over the holidays. Your sign is very much a part of it and you can expect great changes to come into play as the New Year begins. The planetary aspects are a bit hairy and it may be wise to stay to the side of caution and safety.

Aquarius Saturn’s position may keep you in check, as you find ways to work with the powers that be, such as judges, bosses, parents, teachers and others that have some say and sway in your life. Writing and research are featured. Sink your teeth into a hefty topic or two, giving that powerful mind something to do.

Pisces Jupiter casts a nice energy into your sign for several months. In general, it would be good to step up your game and move towards your goals. Saturn also casts a good ray your way bringing order and stability. Neptune will work to connect to the higher realities concerning spiritual life, devotion and service to others.

November 2013

The Moon blocks the light of the Sun during the solar eclipse on November 3. Eclipses generally bring on a sense of foreboding, but the only time I would be concerned about an eclipse is when the eclipse touches an important point in our horoscope. The Sun, Moon and planets convey the karmic energy on-board at any given time. Eclipses are known to release all kinds of important karmic ramifications collectively and personally. From the western astrological perspective, the eclipse takes place in Scorpio bringing all types of Scorpionic energies into play. Mercury, Saturn and Rahu are closely associated with the eclipse and it may be worthy to sift through their implications as well.

Scorpio is a sign that is very connected to nature and the overall health of the environment. Scorpio is also a sign of hidden energy, secret agendas, machinations and movements. On the world level, we know there are serious, highly complex and sensitive problems. Saturn represents the laws and rules we must abide by and often dishes out a medicine we may have trouble swallowing. We have the question of the pipelines and the fear of how they will impact our precious environment. For anyone tantalized and possibly seduced by the massive profits the whole industry will bring our way, the first spill will wipe that fantasy away. The point is there are great movements afoot, pro and con and everything in between. There’s no sense fear mongering, but it looks like the pipes are coming our way, like it or not.

Scorpio represents collective will power and it is only through the will of the people speaking as one voice that we will change the tides. If you care for your society, country and culture then know that the time has arrived to make a stand. Saturn’s involvement indicates a time of austerity and belt tightening, probably connected to the concerns in the US economy. From an Eastern Vedic astrological perspective, the eclipse takes place in Libra in the nakshatra (star group) of Swati. The eclipse sits in the middle of Libra and all the other star groups. Balance, harmony, the arts, music and all matters of education and negotiation are highlighted. Vayu, the god of wind, rules this nakshatra bringing the possibility of big storms. The wind moves things and we will be moved to take action and lean into the tasks that are here to be dealt with now. Our task is to find the balance and seek what is fair and just for all.

Aries The solar eclipse on November 3 activates your solar eighth house related to death, taxes, inheritances, joint monies and all kinds of hidden matters. Although these topics are incredibly boring to your average Aries, they must be met and dealt with in order for you to achieve peace of mind. Get yourself together and organized.

Taurus The art of the compromise must be applied in order to accommodate the dynamic energy that is on-board throughout the fall season. The solar eclipse on November 3 indicates a time of working out relationship concerns and health matters, finances too. The Taurus full moon on November 17 will bring it all to light.

Gemini You can mutli-task, carry on a couple of conversations at the same time and do a lot more than that if you really wanted to. Now a time has arrived in which you have to focus your energy and ability on organizing and streamlining your life. Clear the clutter and chase the blues away.

Cancer The solar eclipse on November 3 activates your solar fifth house, which rules over matters such as children and entertainment. Enterprise and business opportunities are fifth house topics as well. Relationships may need an overhaul and re-evaluation. Power trips and other forms of manipulation and deceit may have eroded a good friendship.

Leo You may be in a pensive mood as November begins to unfold. Home and family concerns keep you occupied. You may be restless and desiring some adventure. Travel opportunities may present themselves throughout the month. Possibly, people from afar come your way. A longing for something deeper and more meaningful tugs at your heartstrings.

Virgo There’s quite a bit of planetary activity energizing your solar third house related to siblings, short journeys, education and all matters of business and commerce. As well, fiery Mars transits through Virgo bringing energy, activity and confidence. It’s a good time to study and perfect your craft. Watch for mishaps and accidents. Slow down.

Libra Your solar career and money sectors are strongly activated throughout the month. It might be the right time for a job change or career move. Home and family considerations come up as well. A lucky break or just good timing pay off mid-month. Relationship energy is intense and changes could be in the wind.

Scorpio An important and fateful time has arrived. The solar eclipse on November 3 tells the tale. Saturn’s involvement with the eclipse heralds a time of changes, possible losses and sacrifices. Look at this time as an opportunity to truly square things away. Hard work, blood, sweat and tears, mixed with your dynamic will power may bring success.

Sagittarius It’s time to clear up past karmic indebtedness. The best way is through kindness and compassion. If you have done a lot of work on yourself spiritually in the past, you may be inclined to move further along the lines of attaining moksha, a term describing liberation and freedom.

Capricorn Venus and Pluto conjoin in your sign mid-month sparking some pretty intense energy regarding relationships. You might be irresistibly attracted to someone and compulsively driven by curiosity. You may be surprised by someone’s attention and affection. Wait things out for a while and see where you get to. A re-evaluation of everything is in store.

Aquarius The top of your solar chart is strongly activated by the November planets. A career change may be in the works. A boost or promotion could be the case. You may be acknowledged for your skills. If you have abused power in any way, this is a time you could fall from a high place.

Pisces The planets are casting lots of positive energy into your sign indicating a spiritual change. Travel, education, writing and publishing are feature topics throughout the month. Relationship considerations come up, as does the prospect of possibly bringing children into the world. In essence, you can get what you want now if you work at it.

October 2013

Let’s invoke the spirit of Libra. The seventh sign of the zodiac, Libra is a cardinal air sign, ruled by Venus. The cardinal signs carry great power and energy, as Aries initiates the spring season, Cancer the summer, Libra the fall and Capricorn the winter. The element of air, combined with this dynamic cardinal sign, produces some of the most talented, beautiful, creative and profound people on the planet. Venus/Libra would be depicted strongly in the lives of such luminaries as Mahatma Gandhi, John Lennon, Pierre Trudeau and former US President Jimmy Carter. Libra bestows great beauty, grace, charm and a powerful intellect. The new Moon on October 4 releases this dynamic Libra energy and we have an opportunity to use it, abuse it or lose it.

Libra is depicted by a blindfolded woman, holding a sword in one hand and scales in the other. The symbol represents impartial justice, fairness, harmony and balance. If the scales are not balanced, we have injustice, imbalance, war and chaos to deal with. Uranus is involved with this Libra new Moon and it is an indicator that we may be in for a few shocks and surprises as the month unfolds. At the time of this writing, (September 7), the world is deciding what to do with the grievous and very dangerous circumstances in Syria. We may very well be on the verge of war in the middle east. The world leaders would be wise to use the Venus/Libra energy to negotiate peace, as the alternative will be the use of that sword the Goddess wields in order to help protect the suffering souls that are enduring great pain, hardship and loss. We are the world, we are the people and now the stars are asking for our assistance in bringing world peace closer, rather than further from our grasp.

Another major feature regarding Libra is relationships – be they marital, personal or professional. With Uranus involved with the new Moon energy, we may find it is time to sort things out and shake things up. The inhabitants of the local islands call it “the island shuffle.” Then again, we can get it right and settle down with peace in our hearts. It’s all about love, kindness, consideration and caring for one another, close and far. The full Moon lunar eclipse on October 18 will help us come to terms with whatever is on board at that time. Retrograde Mercury, combined with Saturn throughout the month, does indeed speak of serious negotiations and circumstances developing throughout the land.

Aries You have an opportunity to break through the limitations and restrictions that have held you back for way too long. You are on a journey of self-discovery. Staying true to yourself is the main ingredient that will bring you the freedom you long for. The full Moon on October 18 will bring powerful revelations.

Taurus It is time to organize and arrange your life in the way you want it to be. The main theme throughout the month will be communications and negotiations. Wills and secret matters are dealt with. Keep your lines of communication open and be willing to make changes where necessary. An understanding arrives October 20.

Gemini Generally, things cool down as the fall season gets rolling. But that’s not the case for Gemini. Actually, things heat up in the romance and finance departments. You may be intensely fixated on working through the knots and concerns of the times. Relationships, travel and health are the main topics to consider this month.

Cancer The new Moon on October 4 brings a time in which home, family and career topics dominate the conversations. Your home and work environments may be changing – such as, you may work from home or have to leave home to work. It’s all good. Luck and timing are important factors now. Do your best.

Leo You may be in the mood to fight and set things right. Matters pertaining to home, family, vehicles and property come up now. Walk softly, but carry a big stick. Keep in mind that a soft reply avoids wrath and resistance. It’s a lively time and a great time to socialize and enjoy the days.

Virgo Mars journeys through Virgo, while Mercury moves through Mars-ruled Scorpio. It’s called mutual reception when two planets are in each other’s signs. It means that a very busy and demanding time is upon you and you have to keep it all together in somewhat stormy weather. Doing one thing at a time is best.

Libra Throw your hat into the ring or come up with a ring and you may break with a ring or a circle of people from the past. It is time to make important changes relationship and career-wise. The lunar eclipse on October 18 brings it all into the light. Excitement and challenge rule the days.

Scorpio Mercury and Saturn are in close proximity throughout most of October as they continue their journey through Scorpio. On the positive side of the coin, this is a great aspect for research, discovery and study of any kind. The downside is worry and controversy, as delays and other types of hurdles and obstructions manifest.

Sagittarius Mars traverses your solar ninth house indicating travel and activities related to publishing and education. Mid-October, Mars enters your solar career sector guaranteeing a busy and demanding fall season. There may be hidden negotiations in the works and possibly you will change jobs or career path. Inheritances and joint monies come into play.

Capricorn Your solar career sector is strongly activated, as is your house of relationships. Expect a few surprises or opportunities to manifest in which you are able to move up and ahead. You will possibly be honoured for some achievement. Watch for waste and guard against overindulgence of any particular kind. An important relationship may develop.

Aquarius Travel, work, relationships and health considerations are on the cosmic menu for your choice of the pickings. Publishing, education and writing are also featured. Nothing may come easy, though, as Mercury and Saturn move through your solar tenth house bringing concerns and hard work. Roll up your sleeves and get to work. What else to do?

Pisces The meaning and value of life intensify as Neptune’s transit through Pisces is destined to refine you and attune you to the cosmic forces. The highest form of manifestation for this planetary combination is within the concepts of universal compassion, service and love. Expect to lose the way and find it again, and again.

September 2013

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” (Ecclesiastes chapter 3.)

Astrology is God’s handwriting through the stars. The movement of the planets decrees when certain events are destined to manifest in our lives according to the karma indicated in the birth chart itself. The astrologer’s work is within deciphering what the stars are indicating and presenting that information in a positive and constructive manner. In traditional Western astrology, Saturn is known as a malefic energy bringing grief and suffering, while Jupiter brings joy and abundance. Mars represents anger and aggression, while Venus represents love and affection. Obviously, it would be nice to have Venus and Jupiter prominent in our birth charts. Moving along the same line of reasoning, it would seemingly be beneficial that Mars and Saturn had back seats and small parts to play in the unfolding of karmic energy designed by our past life thoughts and actions.

In Vedic Eastern astrology we find that, according to the positions and condition of the planets at our birth, Venus or Jupiter can become malefic energies, bringing their own form of grief and suffering. Saturn and Mars can become benefic forces that bring very dynamic and profound results when their time to shine arrives. To everything there is a season and a reason as to why we are compelled throughout our cosmic, karmic journey through time.

Timing is everything. As an example, Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s birth chart is indicating a most difficult and potentially dangerous time. The full moon on September 19 will bring it all to light. The possibility of attacks is strong and his enemies will come out now. Keep in mind he is a man, a father and a husband and just as vulnerable as the rest of us. Changes in his personal life and relationships are indicated and health may be a concern. The above commentary is based on the birth time of 3:00AM. Even without the birth time, the prime minister will face a very trying time for the next two years, in which his popularity and leadership will be tested strongly. September is a busy and demanding month.

Aries Change is the only constant while Uranus transits Aries. You can’t beat it so you might as well get with it. “Get with what,” you might ask? Get with the universal plan that is unfolding at an astonishing rate of speed. September offers up all kinds of creative opportunities for love and happiness to manifest.

Taurus The Virgo new Moon on September 5 energizes your solar fifth house, which rules over topics such as love, romance, children and enterprise. The fifth house is a good karma house. It brings good returns when activated. This September is a time of striving and possibly struggling with conditions that are changing in dynamic fashion.

Gemini Family and home activities are featured. Land and real estate deals may come into play. Health is the key ingredient to happiness and success in the future. Now is the time to find the balance in all things. Resources increase, as do opportunities to expand in some way. Time with friends and family is indicated.

Cancer Step up, step forward and have no shame in your game. Beneficent Lord Jupiter casts his fine blessings your way throughout the year. You can gain significantly or lose majorly, in the sense of wasting your time and energy on frivolous pursuits. Do your best and the universe will respond in kind. Travel opportunities come up.

Leo Mars, fiery brother of the Sun, makes his way through Leo until mid October. He brings energy and strength your way. Anger, accidents and fires are some of the typical Mars-type energies that come up when he’s around. September could be intense, as Mars and Saturn square off affecting your Leo planets.

Virgo The Virgo new Moon on September 5 signals a fresh start as you experience your solar and lunar high of the year. The stars are lending excellent support and you can move easily towards your goals and objectives. Hard work and effort pay off and the sense of satisfaction that things are coming together brings contentment.

Libra The new Moon on September 5 takes place in your solar twelfth house. You may be in a compassionate mood, reaching out to those that need your love and support. A busy September flies by in a blink of the eye. Seek a healthy lifestyle and find the balance in all things.

Scorpio The full Moon on September 19 will have special significance for you. At the time of the full Moon, Venus, Saturn and Rahu (one of the navagrahas – nine planets – in Vedic astrology) conjoin in your sign. It is a time in which certain aspects of your life come to an end. You must weigh up what is real, what is true and what is of true value.

Sagittarius Let’s see if we can get a handle on the types of energy you might experience in September. Topics such as inheritances and shared monies come into play. Career, education and travel sectors are hot and strongly activated. Home and career activities dominate throughout the month. A longing for something deeper manifests.

Capricorn Your solar house of travel is strongly activated throughout September. Matters related to the higher mind, law, philosophy, education, publishing, religion and politics may be prominent. Jupiter casts his glance your way bringing opportunities for growth and advancement. There are opportunities for big mistakes to take place as well so be careful in your choices.

Aquarius A career change could be in the works, as you grow increasingly frustrated with how things have been going. On another level, some Aquarians will reach a peak in their career status and will be honoured for their work and service. Do your best and leave the rest; it’s the right mantra for the times.

Pisces The full Moon on September 19 takes place in your sign. Revelations and realizations come flooding in and you see the way to go. Concerns that you have been worried about come to a head. It’s time to map out a new plan and the stars are lending a hand.
