The Sun and Saturn are squaring off on June 5 and the effects may be felt for several days either side of that date. The Sun and Saturn represent all those in power, the economy, world leaders etc. A very dangerous state of affairs is forming as tensions rise around North Korea and their threats with nuclear weapons. Choose your battle, country, politics and religion and apply the same logic and we will see an increase in the rhetoric, posturing and threatening as all sides lodge their complaints and insecurities. My bomb is bigger than your bomb just does not make any damn sense. When you are standing in gasoline up to your knees, it doesn’t matter who lights the first match, does it? Outside of that madness life continues on and the good souls strive to make the world a better place.

Our problems never really go away; they just morph into new problems up around the bend. Our work is within ourselves, for soon enough we all step off this stage and move on to new realities. What is real is the work that we do on the inside as we strive to live as honorable, non-violent people. We can only take our love and devotion with us to the other side, all else cannot accompany us, as we must go it alone. More light, more love, one planet, one people.

Venus continues her visit to your sign until June 6. You should expect to receive the general effects of a Venus transit, such as an increase in your general popularity, creativity, love and money. Venus also carries a much deeper impact as she helps us to see our true values and to get more in touch with them. Now is the time for a turn around in your life.

Venus pays a visit throughout June, as does Mars. A lively time is expected in which all kinds of great experiences and happy times come up. The Gemini new Moon on May 24 signals a fresh round of life’s activities. All manner of communications come under the heading of Gemini. Education, transportation, business and commerce are just a few of the topics covered by this mutli-dimensional sign.

Mercury, lord of the Gemini new Moon happens to be retrograding in Taurus and in square with Jupiter and Neptune until early June. It may be wise to take everything with a grain of salt as things may not be as they appear. As a matter of fact, we are vulnerable to a series of great deceptions and it will take keen, clear minds to sort out what is real and what is not. If you can’t do the time, then don’t do the crime is a well worn adage that fits the times. I hold great hope and some expectations that the ongoing Jupiter, Neptune conjunction in Aquarius will have the effect of opening the hearts, minds and eyes of world leaders. Fear mongering and planning for war seems to be the steady diet that we the human race are fed these days. We see from the level of the physical plane and our minds and intellects are blind to the realities of the soul’s flight above the regions of the mind and senses.

The Mystics and Masters are telling us that our job is to learn to live a non-violent lifestyle in which we strive to purify in order to even begin our inner journey. Get ready for some confusion, misdirection, deception, fraud and other anomalies. Retrograde Mercury is backing into a square aspect with Jupiter and Neptune. It hits this exact aspect on May 20 but the effect will last until mid June. I’m not saying we should be really worried about this aspect, but I do want to bring some light and understanding to a potentially difficult time. Quite a lot of planetary drama is taking place and it’s too much to tackle in this one post. The trick of the times is to weather the storm as best we can. Fear, paranoia, and innuendo will only snarl up the works.

Fortunately the Sun enters Gemini on May 20 bringing some fresh air and positive changes where needed. The Sun also squares off with Jupiter and Neptune on May 16, just as Saturn begins to move forward after his retrograde phase in Virgo. We may sense that we have a chance to do better or at least to live in the illusion that we are doing so.

The mystics teach us that true peace can never be had where mind and matter meet and mix. Peace has never come here, nor will it ever. It is to be found on the higher planes above the region of the mind and senses. The powerful Jupiter, Neptune conjunction in Aquarius is stirring up our spirits and causing us to long for a lasting love and peace. The future looks bright and exciting as Mars and Venus continue their journey through your sign. Follow your dreams. Move towards your passions and interests as the stars are showing special favour these days. People are attracted and don’t quite know why. No time to ponder. This is the time to reach for the stars.

The Sun and Mercury are squaring off with Jupiter and Neptune allowing for possible misunderstandings and other types of potentially embarrassing scenarios to unfold, especially on May 16, 17 and 18. Mercury is retrograding in your sign and will be in square with Jupiter and Neptune until the middle of June. It may be wise to put off big decisions until that time as presently the picture may not be clear and may need lots of clarification.

The Sun enters Gemini on May 20 bringing you into your solar high of the year. Lord Mercury is retrograding and in square with Jupiter and Neptune until mid June and it could bring on situations in which discussions on subjects such as politics, religion and philosophy don’t go well. It may be wise to keep your own counsel and stay away from controversial topics. May 15 and 16 are special days and good times are indicated.

Mercury and Saturn cast favourable energy into your sign bringing positive results in relation to the amount of effort and attention that you put into anything that you are doing. Mercury is retrograding and you may have to wait a couple of weeks to see the positive results indicated. May 16 to 19 are favourable days overall. Growth through relationships is where the work is for the most part over the next few years.

Keep your head on straight as life may get a bit wonky in the days to come and you will need lots of clarity and sharpness to see through the smoke screen. Best bet is to keep your lid on, lips zipped, and wait until the fog clears. Most of the misunderstandings will probably clear up on their own anyway and you can save yourself a serious amount of aggravation.

The Sun enters your opposite sign Gemini on May 20, signaling your solar low of the year. Of course it affects everyone differently in accordance to your own individual horoscope, but in general the vibe is to take it easy and make sure that you nurture yourself properly. Often we’re a bit tired and burned out during the solar low, which is six months from our birth date and is in effect approximately five days either side of that date. Then again, you may be excited and intent on digging deeper into your creative abilities and romance may not be a stranger either. I think you will be busy, solar low or not.

Lord Saturn moves forward once again on May 16 in Virgo which is a sign harmonious to Capricorn. I’m sure that you don’t need a big lecture but this is a time in which wealth and power are within reach and many doors are open. Any door once chosen may offer golden opportunities for success, growth and happiness. But you may find a sense of longing within you that cannot be filled by material success, name or fame. Yes it is likely that you may be deeply interested in the higher planes of light and love. Fear not. Do it all and make it happen in a well rounded way.

If were an Aquarius I would make myself a fine vessel. Purification, dedication and devotion to a higher cause represents the high road, one on which all souls must tread someday and now you can lead the way. Then again you may fall right off the track and launch into a time that is lost or wasted chasing bubbles and building sandcastles. Brother, Sister, know that there are castles of light that are far more brilliant than the light of many Suns. What you seek is not outside of yourself but already in store and intact for those ready for the inward journey. Either way you are on a journey of discovery and once begun, will never end until you reach your destination. Back to Earth, sorry for the long winded diatribe. May 15 to 18 are important days and hopefully the above commentary fits in somehow.

The Moon passes through Pisces from May 17 to 19 creating your lunar high of the month. We seem to be a bit sharper and our timing works better when the Moon is moving through our sign. You might want to read the Aquarius message as it does apply to your sign. Great spiritual openings are taking shape and all kinds of great opportunities will manifest in the next year or so, all the more reason to strive to do your best now. Be ready for a magical, mystical future in which life becomes much more to your likings. No doubt the last couple of years have been a stretch and lots of tough changes came for some of you. May 7 – 13, 2009

The mystics teach us that every breath is counted, and that no one can increase or decrease the amount given. They also teach us that God’s gift of human life is very precious and that it should not be wasted on frivolous or worrisome activities. I want to spend some time on the fate of the Nations and their leaders but would like to take a second to set the framework in which we exist and have existed throughout countless creations and dissolutions of the Sun, Moon, stars, galaxies, universes and other planes of existence.

We live in the fallen universe in which karma reigns supreme. Our prayers and longings are directed towards emancipation, freedom, peace, happiness and love. Wars continue on the planet and man’s inhumanity to man has not relented one bit in our recent recorded history. We’re fixated on specific cosmic dates such as December 21, 2012 which is the end of the Mayan calendar and we hold our collective breath and hope not too much goes wrong in our lives.

Now we have come into a time in which the karma has quickened, thickened and condensed and soon we will witness great changes that are already developing in the troubled regions of the world. After studying the charts for Israel, Iran and America it looks like the tensions are reaching a boiling point and will continue to increase throughout the summer of 2009. Everything intensifies in the fall especially around November 15. The fate of America and Israel are tied together and we may very well witness a clash between Iran and Israel and the U.S. becoming involved with many more ramifications.

Mars, the planet of war, anger and aggression has started his journey through Leo and will pass over President Obama’s Sun and Israel’s Saturn and Pluto, which are very intense planetary combinations that we are loathe to even think about. The main gist of the energy is one of anger, hatred and frustration and a sense of limitation. Then near the winter solstice 2009 Mars backtracks over the same area of the zodiac and eventually slows down close to the Moon position in Israel’s chart in February, March and April 2010, heightening emotions and the likelihood of retaliation and retribution. Pluto plays a big part in the planetary drama unfolding throughout this time. Pluto is another manifestation of Lord Shiva, the destroyer in the Hindu trinity.

Iran’s chart doesn’t hold much more promise at all. It would be so wonderful if these two countries could find a way to work out their problems without attempting to destroy each other in the process. Iran’s chart tells of a shock or a surprise attack or bombing, which we know is no new news and no big prophecy. Now the stars are ready to back up whatever the intentions are of the players involved worldwide.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have come into a most fateful time. They will need our total love and support to weather through the storm brewing on the horizon. A solar eclipse takes place on January 15, 2010 and it makes an exact conjunction with President Obama’s Saturn at 25 degrees of Capricorn. This eclipse takes place in his 12th house and it indicates a loss of some sort. It’s influence may carry through the next few years but the next year in particular. Saturn represents sacrifice, prudence, frugality, poverty and suffering. Possibly there will be sustained financial losses or at least the onset of rebuilding the economy which we know will take years to accomplish. I am concerned for the man’s overall health and wellbeing. Eclipses and Saturn represent the heavy karma that a leader would face as many lives and many souls hang in the balance behind the decisions that will be made. It is also a perilous time for the U.S. President throughout the fall of 2009 and winter 2010 and I’m sure that his security people are doing all that they can do to protect him from his enemies. The same eclipse falls very close to the First Lady’s Sun degree in Capricorn which is another indicator of some type of important changes coming about in her life and the President’s life. I know that this material is heavy and frightening although it not my intent to sensationalize any of this. At least we have an idea of the energy that is coming our way. If anything I pray that none of this comes to pass and that we find viable, peaceful, nonthreatening ways to solve our common human problems.

Never mind 2012, as now is the time to be proactive and increase our humanitarian efforts to help all those that need support, wherever and however we can. Now is the time to beam out as much love and generosity and forgiveness that you can. These troubles that I am talking about will increase throughout 2010 and 2011 and the dangers will not abate until after that time, if we get it right. If not we will certainly set about to do so in 2012 and beyond. Remember that our work is to give help and increase love, generosity and compassion and decrease fear and separation. After all, we are one people on one planet.

One day we must wake up to the fact that we will never gain freedom, true freedom and peace by wielding a weapon of any sort. My prayer is that we get rid of all of the atomic weapons and other deadly devices and turn away from this fear of one another. We need to meld together and help bring love and freedom to all the souls that journey through this region of the cosmos. We are all suffering and weary with it all. We need a break and we need some love. Give some and then give some more.

The stars have promised, but have not delivered. Many of us had anticipated love and all kinds of excitement to manifest when Venus commenced her visit to Aries starting on February 2. Venus reached halfway through the sign and then began to retrograde in the first week of March. This would indicate a time in which all signs and especially Aries would somehow revisit and revise their loyalties and values. Now having let go of what didn’t work, you can move on and into the future. As Venus and Mars continue their journey through Aries you can expect that life will certainly quicken and all kinds of awesome scenarios will develop.

The full Moon on May 8 in your opposite sign Scorpio will help illuminate whatever concerns you of late. Venus has been retrograde in your solar 12th house and it has signaled a time of letting go of the past and moving into the future. This is not, and never has been easy for dear old Taurus, but is necessary to say the least. The future is bright and much more will be revealed in the months to come. June is your best month in which it all comes together. Get yourself together and the rest is easy.

Although you may be anxious to move on, circumstances may hold you back. Somehow you may have to revisit a problem, or sort out the politics of the past as Mercury retrogrades in your solar 12th house until June 13. Not much sense going that route as endless rounds of “he said, she said” business is tiring and nonproductive. Your time may be better spent networking and weaving your energy into positive activities that blossom into future opportunities. Things pick up after your birthday bringing you into a lively, lovely summertime.

Have you ever experienced the sensation or intuitive flash that something was stirring you up or bothering you but you weren’t able to put your finger on what it was? It is likely that these types of flashes will become stronger in the weeks and months to come. You are a cardinal sign and thrive on adventure and discovery, and now you may be hungry to set off on one of your “walk about” journeys of self discovery over the next few years. August and September are dynamic and exciting months.

Either you know that you have it all together, or possibly you may realize that much work is needed and now is the time to roll up your sleeves and stay steady on the case of getting life to where you want it to be. Spirituality, writing, publishing and travel may be of interest now. Mercury retrograde is in effect until the end of the month and it could hamper plans for travel and such. June looks bright and promising in many ways.

Matters related to finances, inheritances, shared monies, secrets and such will be on the table to be dealt with throughout May and early June. Partnerships, romance and excitement are also strongly hinted at. All in all it may not be such a bad time. Jupiter and Neptune continue to contribute grace and abundance and spiritual enlightenment for some. It is time to get things done though. Big energies and dynamic changes are just up the road and it may be wise to do your homework now to be ready for the inevitabilities of the future.

The full Moon on May 8 occurs in your sign. Just as the full Moon lights up the night sky, it will also illuminate your inner sky, in the form of revelations, realizations and other epiphanies that help you to deal with what matters to you. The Moon has all to do with those people that we love and carry on with day by day. It is time to make a difference though, one way or the other. All feasible help is at hand for those that need to find their way again. The conjunction of your co-ruling planets Jupiter and Neptune in Aquarius, while the ruler of Aquarius is moving through Pisces needs some discernment. “Mars is making a conjunction to your Moon, while Saturn squares off with your Mercury.” At that point my client stopped me dead in my tracks. “Mac, I don’t want to know how the clock works, just tell me what time it is.” Most of us don’t have a clue what a Mars conjunction to the Moon means and many more of us could care less. So I’ll throw in the odd eclipse and some planetary configurations but mainly I want to talk about what is happening for the powerful and elite in our society along with the fate of Nations.

We know that just before the delivery of a new born babe it is a most distressful and nervous time. It is kind of like that now in Canada and America. We have the pre-birth jitters. Will he/she be healthy, and will all their little toes and fingers be intact. Every parent on the Earth has gone through these thoughts. Now we are going through a birthing process and we are unsure of the outcome. Pluto is the planetary deity that will make his presence known over the next several years. Without getting into the nitty-gritty details, just know that Pluto will make several very important contacts to the planets in the U.S.A.’s and Canada’s birth charts from 2009 to 2016. Many of us are already psychologically braced for the arrival of 2012 as the Earth lines up perfectly with the galactic centre on December 21, of that year. I’m not sure what it really means and everyone is intrigued because the Mayan calendar ends on this date. I think that it may herald the end days of a way of life that we used to know and believe in. This avenue of thinking certainly is very much in alignment with Pluto’s vibes. Pluto has a strong association with the sign Scorpio which is the sign most related to death and rebirth.

If there ever was one human being that we could consider Plutonian in our present day, it would have to be U.S. President Barack Obama. He is loved, admired and has made strong men weep with his heart rending and miraculous ascension to the high throne of leader of the free world. Possibly he is hated by some, resented by others, but for sure he has raised our hopes and heightened our sense of humanitarian caring as his approach is one in which his hand is extended and open to all. Presently Pluto is making an opposition with Venus in the U.S. chart and in Obama’s chart which tells us that a great catharsis is taking place in which there will be a time of re-evaluating everything and realigning our priorities to match the reality of the times. This is just the beginning as Canada’s chart is also just starting to receive Pluto’s strong message of transformation. Pluto will transit opposite to Canada’s Moon, Uranus and Sun from 2010 to 2014 bringing a time in which the very fabric of the nation will undergo a great transformation.

Obviously our problems are not going away anytime soon, and as the economy tightens and pressures rise we may witness a rise in crime and we know the rest of the tale. Corruption, pollution, collusion and other misuses of power will be discovered, uncovered, dismantled and reformed. This is the work in store on the collective level as we continue to deal with homelessness, drug abuse and poverty. Now we get to see its nasty underbelly so that we can correct, cleanse and heal ourselves and all those that are suffering.

The journey has just begun and now it is time to take up your sword and cut the ropes that hold us down. Nothing less than a re-alignment of wealth and power across the world will take place as we struggle onward and hopefully upwards in a somewhat turbulent and shaky birth into the future. The light that is coming is bright as we shape the future for those yet to step foot on Earth. Unification, co-operation, cohesion and sharing is the way to go. Collusion, corruption, greed and distortion along the other negatives spell death, plain and simple. We’re not dying, we’re birthing, and what is not useful or worthy will die off.

Use the next several years by embarking on your journey of rebirthing as you lend a hand and give where it is needed and pay it forward once again. I just recalled a time that I spent on Venice Beach some years ago that seems to fit the picture of what I’m trying to say. There was an old man playing his guitar as he sang some truly heart breaking blues. A street lady who was in very poor condition laid in her sleeping bag close to the blues singer. It squeezed my heart hard as the silent and attentive crowd gathered to witness this very soulful scene. With no words spoken someone walked up and gave the lady a cigarette and a few minutes later someone brought her a coffee. This scene was repeated each day that I went there and I realized that these folks were having hard times but they were looking out for each other and now that is what we have to do. We need to bond and work together as a family, which we truly are.

You got game. Action and attraction, excitement, enthusiasm and possibly some danger are all thrown into the mix. The competition heats up and you may be at your best, ahead of the rest. Don’t forget to take some rest when you can, but presently you should be full tilt boogie into whatever favors your fancy. Admire your handiwork later as you keep busy with what’s in front of you now.

The Sun continues his journey through the middle degrees of Taurus as he forms a triangle with Saturn on May 5. Although there are other forces and pressures affecting our lives, you have an opportunity to create something good and solid. Taurus works in a circular motion and does best with a steady rhythm and now you can work out any knotty problems. I didn’t say your problems would go away, but there are opportunities to improve conditions.

Mercury, Lord of Gemini comes screeching to a halt on May 6 as he commences his three week retrograde motion. He is stopped in the first degree of Gemini which tells us that all areas of communication, transportation,business and commerce will somehow be effected. We know that retrograde Mercury times are best for working through sudden problems that arise in society. Most of us groan about the delays and hassles that come up in traffic or at the airport while Mercury is retrograde. It is just part of the drill of getting things right and now it is time for you to work along these lines of getting everything on track.

Those of you that are born between June 21 and July 1, any year, most likely will feel or experience the effects of the Moon, Venus, Pluto T square that takes place on May 5. Certain choices and challenges lay up ahead or they are already here. People’s true colours are shown as are yours. It may be a relief to put some things behind you. There may be some hard choices to make regarding finances and matters of the heart and it is time get things right. Although sounding a tad ominous it may not be like that at all, but changes are in the wind.

Jupiter, friend to the Sun casts his glances your way from across the sky. He sits in Aquarius with Neptune and the combination can get you into some pretty interesting inner journeys. A new reality dawns, or at least a different view of who and what you are. Your solar career sector is hot as the Sun traverses through that region of the sky throughout most of May. It may be hard to keep your mind on business which Saturn’s position presently is asking you to do. Your solar money house is Virgo and Saturn is in for a visit. One part of you wants to weigh anchor and set sail while another part says we can’t afford it and we have to work the salt mines for a bit longer.

Plan something special for May 3 as the Moon visits Virgo and harmonizes with the Sun. Relax and enjoy the time. Monday’s energy on May 4 will carry a different tone and quality and you may be glad when the day finally ends, although you may get a lot accomplished. The Sun and Saturn harmonize on May 5 bringing a time in which things fall into place and you are rewarded for your efforts. Possibly some sort of sweet justice takes place and you can hold your head up with pride. Mercury goes retrograde on May 6 in your solar tenth house relating to work, business and commerce. Plus, you have ownership with Mercury as he is your ruling planet. Delays and problems pop up in the workplace or related worries may be the case. Travel plans may change or somehow not go as expected in the next few weeks.

May 5 and 6 are your days. The Moon traverses through Libra and opposes Venus and Mars, promising sparks and excitement, positive or negative. It may be time to make important decisions regarding relationship concerns or financial problems. Mercury goes retrograde in your solar house of travels and it may cause some type of delay or change of plans over the next few weeks. The Moon forms a triangle with lucky Jupiter late on May 6 bringing positive conclusions and happy times your way.

Oftentimes when the Sun moves through our opposite sign we may find ourselves a bit rundown and needing a break. Scorpio’s instinct is to push through and ignore the pain which can lead to further complications. The Sun is moving through your opposite sign Taurus until May 20 and if you need a break then you should take it. Mars is visiting your solar sixth house bringing the instincts to heal and organize everything. So basically it is a time of rest and recreation, healing, planning and self nurturing. The full Moon on May 8 will help to illuminate the pathway ahead.

Romance and finance feature in the days ahead. It is time to connect with the things and people that bring you the most joy and pleasure. It is also time to explore the world a bit and possibly stretch your intellect. You should accumulate a raft of great experiences that you can weave into some excellent tales that you can regale us with in the future. Changes regarding work and home will need your attention and there still may be considerable tension in those areas of your life. The key to your success is within your ability to ride out the changes that are occurring these days.

Two distinct planetary patterns stand out at this time. The Sun and Saturn form a triangle on May 5 and they both cast fine energy into your sign bringing good results, especially when dealing with authorities and higher-ups. The influence of this steadying aspect will carry on for several days. Life tends to run smoothly while this planetary aspect lasts. The Moon, Venus and Pluto square off on May 5 as well, and this particular configuration can bring up some fairly uncomfortable scenarios as jealousy, envy, greed and other human weaknesses manifest. Possibly you will experience a little bit from both of these configurations. On one level there can be very gratifying and sustaining good developments and on the other hand possibly there will be a falling out and a parting of the ways.

Jupiter and Neptune are conjunct in your sign and it heralds a very special time for some of the Aquarians that have planets in the late degrees of Aquarius. If you are born from February 10 to 19 any year, you have a good chance to reap the benefits of this planetary conjunction. Jupiter is the planet of good luck and good timing. The urge to gamble and speculate is strong when Jupiter is around. With Neptune in the picture things could get fuzzy as the details just don’t seem to be too important. Spiritual experiences of the highest order may manifest or the worst swindle could be the case so it would be wise to go slow until you know. This influence is at its greatest strength over the next four months. Choose the high road and stay on it.

In a couple of years from now Neptune will enter his own sign Pisces for a 15 year visit. If I were a Pisces I would make note of this and strive to encompass and imbibe the energy that will be available at that time. All of the changes that you have been going through over the last few years are just a prelude and build up as to what is to come. You will be totally in your element and will be able to operate easily and smoothly while others may not have the proper wiring to cope and deal with the realities that are heading our way. I expect at least a total change in consciousness and awareness to take place as we become a more compassionate and spiritual people and most likely you will be leading the way as you minister to all those that need love and affection, compassion and understanding. Your work presently is to perfect your skills be they as healer, minister, magician or beautician. Artists and all creative types will get a huge boost.

Well I’ve been sitting here for two hours and nothing’s coming, so I’m just going to wing it, and tell you about the days ahead in this week’s column. We start the week with a full Moon on April 9 along with a series of harmonious planetary aspects. The Sun becomes exalted in the nineteenth degree of Aries which happens to be the degree of the full Moon. Spring is truly here and we can see the evidence of what the Sun brings to us throughout all of nature. An Aries Libra lunation is very dynamic. It is a lively time that is met with full enthusiasm. Somewhere, somehow we must find the balance between independent action and cooperative co-existence. Aries’ key words are “I am” while Libra’s key words are “I balance.” The full Moon will assist us in finding the balance in accordance with our own birth charts.

Good Friday on April 10 may indeed be a very good day as the Sun and Jupiter harmonize as do Mercury and Pluto. It means that there will be agreements struck, alliances formed and other good news that helps lift our spirits. Retrograde Venus backs into Pisces which is her sign of exaltation, bringing more love and more compassion into our lives. Yes, we all need more love and we can never get enough love. Oddly, it is the only commodity that increases when we give it. All other forms of giving lead to depletion. Pisces is a sign of mysticism and spirituality and now the co-rulers of Pisces, namely Jupiter and Neptune are heading for a conjunction in the late degrees of Aquarius which I believe will bring a flood of compassion and spiritual awakening to many souls. The whole drama is in the hands of the Lord and we dance to the tune of our own making and now a window of opportunity to truly receive enlightenment is at hand. We may witness the genesis of all sorts of new social and spiritual groups popping up. A back to the land movement could be strongly in the picture. We kind of get the picture as a dawning new reality sets in that there is no road back but only the ever living present and the future to anticipate.

Keep in mind that love and happiness does not come from outside, but only from within ourselves. We are faced with the task of how to care for and nurture Mother Earth as we learn to care for her inhabitants. Just as a loving mother cannot resist the cry of her child, God’s love will descend as he hears our cries.

Easter Sunday is about Jesus’ resurrection and it is also a time for us to consider our own resurrection into a spiritual life. Jaded and satiated in varying degrees we need some purification, simplification, love and devotion. Awake, arise and meet the day with all that you can.

By Monday the Moon squares Saturn changing the tone and snapping us back into the reality of having to feed the kids and take care of business. April 14 and 15 are mixed days chock full of surprises, shocks and other sorts of unusual phenomena. Concerns regarding natural or manmade disasters come into play. An exciting time has arrived in which many wonderful, magical and mystical experiences will open us up and hopefully open up our hearts a bit. It is time to set the cornerstone. Not the one for a building or structure but the cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle that brings purity, peace, light and love into our beings and radiates outwards to all those around.

The Aries – Libra full Moon on April 9 will illuminate many facets of your life. Breakthroughs and epiphanies inspire you onward. April and May heat up significantly. You will be busy and active with much to do. Life shines brighter than it has for a while. You are the first born and must lead the way. It is time to find your holy grail.

Mercury visits Taurus from April 9 to 30 bringing an increase in all kinds of activities. It is a very good time for research and discovery. Topics of interest are tackled earnestly. Designing and planning along with learning all that you can fills the days. Stay on the case with a positive attitude and make good use of the promising springtime energy.

In true Gemini style two distinct planetary patterns are having some sway in your life. On the one hand the Sun, Jupiter and Neptune are casting fine energy into your sign, especially at full Moon time on April 9, bringing breakthroughs and lucky breaks. Jupiter and Neptune conjoin in your sign and will be in close proximity over the next four months. You may embark on a journey of discovery and it could be one of internal, spiritual discovery. Possibly flights of fantasy or other forms of escapism may manifest. Know that it is a divine opportunity to truly acquire what you desire, especially in matters of the spiritual heart. The full moon on April 9 along with the planarity positions are in harmony and it just makes life a bit easier with an easy flow.

Mars and Uranus meet up in Pisces on April 15 and it is something you should make note of and pay heed to. Possibly nothing major will take place on that day, with it and the days either side of it going by easily. But with these two rabble-rouser planets meeting up I certainly would err to the side of caution and would be more attentive before making any important moves. Venus reenters Pisces for a 10 day visit starting April 11 and she brings her love and wisdom to the table. Go with the flow and see what the universe offers up.

April 2 – 8, 2009

The first quarter square of the Moon takes place on April 2. The square aspect is formed when two planets are ninety degrees apart on the zodiac. Square aspects often provoke feelings of dread or some type of upset as tensions run high and challenges just seem to materialize throughout the day. In older astrology books the square is described as evil.

Another approach to getting your head wrapped around the square aspect is to compare it to an intersection. Now we know that the intersection is not evil in itself, but things sure can go wrong if we ignore the rules of the road and insist on blasting through. A prudent and sober person approaches the intersection carefully with full attention and gets through safely. In essence the square provides tension and awareness and how we handle it makes all the difference in the world.

Now we will get a chance to flex our astro wisdom as a series of squares and oppositions take shape over the next several days. Venus and Pluto square off on April 3 bringing strong attraction and reaction, intermingled with desire, fire and passion. Plus, the Moon is moving through Leo, dramatizing life to the fullest. Those secret crushes may not withstand the day as jealousy and other forces that seem to not be in our control come up.

Mars opposes Saturn on April 4, while Pluto stands still and begins to retrograde. Mars, Saturn and Pluto are not light, easygoing planets. They carry fairly heavy reputations in the pantheon. Mars is associated with war and aggression, Saturn with restriction, delay and frustration while Pluto weighs in as the planet associated with death and destruction. In their most obvious forms we will witness this planetary phenomena via the violence surrounding the G20 summit, with the Plutonian underground types continuing their battle for dominance in the streets. The Saturnian types represented by the police and the legal structure are certainly having their troubles as they are caught between a rock and a hard place. Sometimes one wonders who the good guys are and who the bad guys are. No doubt we have jumped out of the frying pan right into the fire and the heat is on.

April 6 and 7 are important days in which life’s unfolding drama continues to capture our attention as the Moon moves closer to her full status on April 9. We must learn the lesson that the guru’s have been trying to impart to us, that we cannot wash away blood with blood, but only with the waters of forgiveness. If we only knew how precious life really is we would be way more careful before we willingly waste a life chasing fool’s gold. God’s love and mercy far outweigh the negatives of this world and light and love will always win while the rest just keeps us indebted and suffering under the karmic load.

You may want to hold off on any rash decisions as the Moon moves through your opposite sign Libra from April 7 to 9. The full Moon on April 9 will help illuminate your path, allowing you to see what’s what and what needs to be done about it. Relationships feature prominently, or to put it another way, how you relate to people will be of importance.

April 3 and 4 are important days in which you come to terms and deal with matters of the heart and home. Anything that has been making you unhappy will probably be dealt with now or at least changed significantly. Although there are some tough decisions to be made, at least you will have peace of mind in the long run. You may sense that the clock is ticking and time is passing by, all the more reason to get your act together, especially on the internal, spiritual side of things.

Stormy days are brewing in which you have important decisions to make regarding home and career interests. April 5 to 7 are the trying days and then the storm abates and the Sun shines through brilliantly on April 8 and 9. Friends near and far feature in the days to come. Travel opportunities materialize as does your longing for a higher pathway to tread. Blessings of all sorts are close at hand.

You may be questioning your values these days. An undercurrent of restlessness pervades your psyche and has you wondering if you have made a wrong decision in your choice of mate or career path. I wouldn’t be overly concerned about it, as it is a natural process to re-evaluate your true values once in a while. You may be in the mood to make some changes though. On a more positive spin, imagine being pregnant and going through the overhaul of what stays and what goes in order to bring the new one into a healthy environment.

The Moon passes through Leo from April 3 to 5 just in time for the weekend. The Sun and the Moon form a triangular pattern on April 4 enhancing life all around. A couple of frustrating aspects are happening on the same day and although others may be pulling their hair out you may be soothing their rattled nerves. You shine through just like the rays of the Sun. Leo Rules. I’m convinced of it. Do your thing.

Mars and Saturn clash on April 4 leading to the probability of frustrations running higher than normal. Take the hint and lay back a bit rather than trying to force the issue. Keep a cool head in traffic and allow yourself lots of room and time to get where you’re going. April 6 and 7 are touchy days as well and you will have to tread lightly, tip toe if necessary, but stand firm if backed against a wall. Aside from the fearful approach it may work out as a time in which you are just working hard with not much down time.

The full Moon on April 9 takes place in your sign. Just as the full Moon illuminates the night sky, you may find that this full Moon illuminates your inner sky. In other words the light goes on and problems and concerns are dealt with. At times Libra stands accused of being indecisive. At those times you are in “fact gathering mode” and once you have weighed it all up you can act decisively and with authority. You may be pleased with the outcome of events.

Mars and Pluto, co-rulers of Scorpio are both kicking up their heels as Pluto begins to retrograde and Mars opposes Saturn on April 4. All this action, although intense is affecting your sign in a positive way. You may even enjoy the process of recreating or reinventing yourself in some way. It is a time to plan, organize all aspects of your life. Many Scorpios are naturally inclined to work out and burn off their excessive energy. Plan for a hot spring and summer which is all the more reason to get it together now.

Career frustrations seem to be at the top of the list for dear Sagittarius. April 4 to 7 are days that carry a certain intensity to them and you will have to use your Jupitarian abilities to come through unscathed. Fortunately you are most adept at seeing the big picture and along with your sense of humour, will come through with a joke or two to sum up the times.

The first ten days of the month will hardly provide much of a break. If anything your cup runneth over with too much to do, but you may not mind at all. Actually Capricorn thrives on industry of any sort as long as things are getting done and some sort of progress is recognized. With that you will untiringly move forward, onward and upward. The full Moon on April 9 brings career and home activities to the forefront.

Have you ever had that feeling that something is missing, but you just don’t know what it is? Sometimes it’s just good to blow off some steam, but it may be better to take a steam and sauna and sweat out the toxins in a positive way. It might be that too much work has cropped up or you’ve had no luck finding work and has set your jaw tight. Relax and let the days pass and all will be well once again.

March 26 – April 1, 2009

The Aries new Moon takes place on March 26, at 9:06 A.M. PDT. Spring has sprung and now the giant wheel of life picks up speed and the dreary days of winter lose their hold and become hardly a memory. We have things to do, place’s to go, and only a short time to get there. Venus is conjunct the New Moon which certainly is a good thing in the sense that she is able to bring her calm and wise counsel to the table. Venus represents the love that we are willing to give, while Aries is the sign of new life and new beginnings.

Mercury, lord of the Gemini rising sign in this new Moon chart has just entered Aries and is another indicator of lively times coming into play. We will be far too busy to be concerned with what is in the past, and we will be far more likely to just roll up our sleeves and deal with our present day realities with vigor, boldness, confidence and bravery.

The Moon moves through Taurus from March 28 to 30 just in time for the weekend. The Sun is exalted in Aries and the Moon is exalted in Taurus, bringing some of the best days our way. We finish out the month with the Moon passing through Gemini which signals a lively time in which the phone lines will be burning up as we strive to keep in touch with folks in our sphere, or in today’s terms “in our network”.

March 31 is a mixed day. We will experience highs and lows like storm clouds gathering and dissipating rapidly. It may be wise to not carry the April fools jokes too far as the Moon opposes Pluto and squares Venus mid day which is not a lofty nor humorous planetary aspect. It usually represents a flow of tears or some type of sadness being expressed. Jealousy and its fallout should be avoided.
